Our Story
Sierra and Joe first crossed paths through mutual friends during a ski day at Snowbird in Salt Lake City. Sierra was in town on a travel nursing assignment, and Joe, originally from Rochester, New York, had moved to Utah years earlier.
While they met on the mountain, it was not until later that fate really intervened.
One day in the ICU, Joe was working as a medical tech and assisted with a line placement for one of Sierra’s patients. He recognized her immediately, struck up a conversation, and the spark finally caught.
Their first official hangout was a mountain biking ride, memorable for all the wrong reasons when Sierra broke her finger. Feeling guilty, Joe offered to make her dinner the next night while she lay on the couch surrounded by ice packs. From there, everything fell into place.
They fell in love riding trails, hiking peaks, skiing powder days, and spending as much time as possible together in the great outdoors. The rest, as they say, is history.
