Things To Do

We wanted to share some of our favorite things to do in the Valley! We hope you all have a great time adventuring in the valley that we fell in love in! July in Gunnison County is the most beautiful and it’s WILDFLOWER season in Crested Butte! It will be in the 80’s hopefully every day and sunny!
Oh Be Joyful Hike

Oh Be Joyful Hike

Crested Butte, CO 81224

Go on this hike to see where we got engaged! Look up Oh Be Joyful campground on google or Apple Maps and you’ll be at the trail head! The road is a little rough getting to the trail head so either park at the top of the road or make sure you have 4 wheel drive!

Crested Butte Mountain Resort

Crested Butte Mountain Resort

12 Snowmass Rd, Crested Butte, CO 81224

Mt. CB has so many different hiking trails and the option to ride the chairlift up to the top of the mountain. This could be a fun option to hike the peak or if you are into mountain biking.

Cattlemen’s Days Rodeo July 9-11th

Cattlemen’s Days Rodeo July 9-11th

275 S Spruce St., Gunnison, CO 81230

July 9-11th is Cattlemen’s Day’s! This is our favorite summer tradition and one of the first dates we ever went on! If you are in town this weekend before the wedding, you must go!

Blue Mesa Reservoir

Blue Mesa Reservoir

Gunnison, CO 81230

Need to cool off in the July Gunnison heat? The Blue Mesa is the largest body of water in Colorado! It is free to go to and just 10 miles West of Gunnison. We recommend going to the beach right off of the lake city bridge (1st bridge off of 149) or the beach at the Bay of Chickens (near Elk Creek Campground, the left after the Elk Creek turn off)

Three Rivers Resort

130 County Road 742, Almont, CO 81210

Let’s go rafting! Three rivers resort is a great option to go rafting on the Taylor river or the Gunnison river! We highly recommend taking a river trip!

Gunnison White Water Park

38130 US-50, Gunnison, CO 81230

Just outside of Gunnison, this is such a fun river spot to layout or swim in the river. We recommend getting a couple tubes and going down the rapids!
