Flying into Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) is the most convenient option as it is only a 10 minute drive from Carmel-by-the-Sea. Taxis and rideshare services (Uber/Lyft) are available.

If Monterey isn't a good option for you, there are several major airports within a 2 hour drive of Carmel-by-the-Sea. A rental car is recommended. San Jose (SJC): 1 hr 15 min Oakland (OAK): 2 hrs San Francisco (SFO): 2 hrs

Hotel Recommendations

Carmel-by-the-Sea is a small town with many boutique hotels. Because these are smaller hotels, we are not able to arrange room blocks for our guests. Instead, we’ve compiled a list of recommended hotels at the link below. Each is within walking distance of both the ceremony/reception shuttle pickup and the post-wedding bar locations. If you plan to have a car with you for the weekend, you might also consider hotels in nearby Monterey (a 15-minute drive from Carmel-by-the-Sea). Whatever you decide, we highly encourage you to make a reservation ASAP for the best rates as the area does typically book up well in advance.

Shuttle to Big Sur Ceremony + Reception

September 9, 2023 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm

A shuttle will be provided between Carmel-by-the-Sea and the ceremony, which is about an hour away in Big Sur! We are still working through exact pickup locations and times, but you should start looking forward to the beautiful drive along Highway 1 now :)
