Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR)

PVR is the airport that you'll want to fly into for the wedding (it is the only airport in the area). It's a large international airport with tons of flights coming into it everyday. If you're not planning on coming for the whole week, we would suggest flying in on Thursday, the latest, as we will be hosting welcome drinks. If you haven't already, I would suggest downloading the Hopper app. You can track your flights & it will let you know when you should either wait or purchase them! -El aeropuerto al que llegarán es PVR. Es un aeropuerto internacional con varios vuelos todos los días. Si no está planeando su estancia para toda la semana, le recomendamos llegar a más tardar el jueves, ya que habrá una cena de bienvenida esa tarde.

Transportation

There is an abundance of taxis & Ubers in Puerto Vallarta that make it super easy to get around. For our english-only speaking guests, we suggest Uber as you can see the price upfront - or agree on a price beforehand with your taxi driver. There are a ton of companies that offer transportation to and from the airport, which will also make it super easy once you land. We don't suggest renting a car as driving in Mexico is different than in the US/ Canada. When you land in PVR, there are a lot of transportation companies you have to walk past. I would suggest booking transportation in advance to avoid having to figure it out when you land. Ubers are super easy to use in PV but they are not allowed within the airport because taxis take precedent. -Hay muchos taxis y Ubers que hacen el trasporte fácil en Puerto Vallarta. Para los invitados que solo hablan inglés, sugerimos usar Uber porque se puede ver el precio del viaje desde el inicio- o se recomienda acordar el precio del taxi de antemano con el conductor. Hay muchas agencias que ofrecen transporte en el aeropuerto, lo cual facilitará el poder transportarse al aterrizar.
