Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Sidney Carscallen and Andrew Ingram
Here are some places that Sidney and Andrew suggest everyone visit during their time in Idaho!

Hyde Park- North End Boise

Boise, ID

Boise’s North End is a charming, tree-lined historic neighborhood just minutes from downtown. It’s super walkable and known for its Craftsman-style homes and local favorites. Guests can stroll through Hyde Park for coffee, brunch, and boutique shopping, or head to nearby Camel’s Back Park for a quick hike and beautiful views of the Boise foothills. It’s the perfect spot to explore, unwind, and soak in Boise’s local charm between wedding events.

Freak Alley Gallery

210 North 9th Street, Boise, ID 83702

Freak Alley is Boise’s famous open-air urban art gallery tucked right in the heart of downtown. It’s covered in ever-changing murals, street art, and graffiti-style pieces by local and visiting artists, making every visit a little different.

10 Barrel Brewing Boise

826 West Bannock Street, Boise, ID 83702

This is Sidney's FAVORITE restaurant in Boise! It is a craft brewery known for its rotating beers and ciders, steak nachos, and delicious pizzas. Guests can grab a pint, share some pub-style bites, and enjoy views of the city. It’s an easy, casual stop for anyone wanting a taste of Boise’s local beer scene during their visit.

Boise State University

1910 West University Drive, Boise, ID 83725

Take a walk around Boise State University! It is located right next to the Greenbelt trail, and has a gorgeous view of the Boise foothills. You can also take a look at 'The Blue', or more commonly known as the Smurf Turf (this is Andrew's favorite part of Boise).

The Village at Meridian

3597 East Monarch Sky Lane, Meridian, ID 83646

If you are an avid shopper, and love stores like Lululemon, Madewell, Urban Outfitters, etc. then you will love The Village! The Village at Meridian is a popular outdoor shopping area with restaurants, shops, a movie theater, and a big fountain with light shows. There is also an arcade/bowling spot for those looking for activities for their kids! It’s a fun, easy spot to walk around, grab food or drinks, and hang out for a bit!

Fanci Freez Burgers and Shakes

1402 West State Street, Boise, ID 83702

If you want to be transported back to the 50's, then this place is for you! They have the BEST milkshakes/ice cream, and delicious food as well. Sidney would frequent Fanci Freeze with her aunt during her time in Boise!

Cathedral Of The Rockies

717 North 11th Street, Boise, ID 83702

Andrew and I attended a worship service here during our first visit to Boise and absolutely loved it. It is a gorgeous church in the heart of downtown Boise.

Pie Hole

205 North 8th Street, Boise, ID 83702

A great place for a late night slice of pizza! Sidney recommends the potato bacon pizza!

Bogus Basin

2600 N Bogus Basin Rd, Boise,, ID 83629

Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is a ski area in the western United States, located in Boise County, Idaho, sixteen road miles north-northeast of the city of Boise. While it will not be snowing during your time in Idaho (hopefully....), there are some really fun activities that bogus puts on in the spirng/summer months. It is also a great way to see Boise with an amazing view!
