Yes, both the wedding ceremony & reception are fully accessible.
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 6PM. Plan to arrive no later than 5:45PM to find your seat. Doors will open at 5:30PM.
Yes! Check the number of seats allocated in your invitation to RSVP for the whole family. If you want a child-free evening, we understand that too :). We will have light bites during the cocktail hour, and dinner will be sometime between 7:30-9:00PM. If you think your youngster might get hangry, please plan accordingly. Please note, after about 10PM the DJ will announce that explicit music will be played. This does not mean that children have to leave, but we will leave that decision up to you!
In your invitation you will find a red card with the number of seats allocated for your household. We kindly ask that you adhere to the number of seats in your invitation.
As you all know, we love our pup dearly, but no, she will not be at the wedding β€οΈ Make a trip to Chicago to see her in-person!
We kindly ask that you silence your devices and put them away for the ceremony. We know you want to capture your photo for memories, but trust us, we have an amazing photographer who will take care of the capturing for us. So instead, help us make this day one to remember by remaining fully present!
The attire for our wedding day is "Festive Cocktail" - that means have fun with it. Think knee to mid length dresses, blouses and skirts, suits, blazers and dress pants, a fancy jumpsuit, etc. Don't be afraid to get creative! Your fun ties, belt buckles, patterns, prints, and glitter are all welcome here ππ½πΊπΎ
Yes! Check out the "Registry" page on this website. Thank you β€οΈ
A shuttle bus will depart from the AC Hotel, located in downtown Houston. Check out the "Schedule" page for exact times. The shuttle will leave promptly for the ceremony venue, located in the Heights neighborhood. After the ceremony the shuttle will take guests to the reception venue, located in the Third Ward neighborhood. If there are any additional open seats on the bus, guests should feel free to pile in. For guests driving their own vehicles, there is parking available at both venues. At the end of the night, vouchers will be provided so you can call an Uber to take you wherever you want to go next.
Houston is infamously a driving city. We will provide transportation for wedding day events to accommodate our out-of-town guests. You may want to rent a car if you have a weekend full of adventures. Using ride share services can be convenient but may rack up quickly. The AC Hotel (where we have our room block) is steps away from the light rail train that will take you to many areas like the Museum District, Hermann Park and NRG Stadium. Check out our list of recommendations for the city on the "Travel to HTX" page.
Our wedding is happening at the same time as the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It is a massive event with tons of good food, rides, animals, music, and good ol' western wear shopping. You will truly never experience anything like it. If you plan to attend, let us know on our RSVP page! We'll be there for a couple of hours for a final farewell before we head back to Chicago. We will cover tickets for the first 10 out-of-town guests that RSVP so, giddy up and go RSVP soon! If you need to purchase tickets, visit rodeohouston.com or purchase at the entrance.
