FAQs / Indian Wedding Tips

What should I wear to each event?

We have put together a presentation to guide you through the attire for each event. As mentioned, these are only suggestions and themes to help you make decisions. They are not required and are not supposed to make your outfit planning harder! If there are any questions after going through the guide, please feel free to reach out! Please see the link below to access the guide!

Where should I source my Indian Outfits from?

Here are some well-known online retailers of Indian wear. This list isn’t exhaustive and there are even some rental companies out there. Even if we haven’t personally used all the options available, we’re happy to help you look into any of them or connect you with friends/family who have.

How will I get to the venue?

We will have shuttles running from the recommended hotels to the venue before and after each event. Should you choose to drive, the venue will have free parking and attendants will guide you upon arrival. Please see the Travel page for more details.

Should I bring my kids?

While we wish that we could celebrate with everyone, space is limited at The Holly Farm so we have to ask that kids stay at home unless specifically noted on the invitation or confirmed by the bride, groom, or their parents.

I’ve never been to an Indian wedding before — any etiquette tips?

Don’t worry if you don’t understand every ritual; just enjoy the experience. It’s perfectly fine to ask someone nearby what’s happening! Be mindful during sacred moments, but most importantly, dance, eat, and celebrate with us!

Do I need to bring gifts to each event?

Your presence is the best gift! If you’d like to give something, we’ve set up a registry on Zola for your convenience, but please don’t feel obligated.
