Her Version: We met on one Thursday evening in March 2016 at a HH at Cadillac Ranch - National Harbor. I was there with my colleague Patrice minding our own business. lo and behold, Patrice mentioned that there was a guy across the bar that had been staring and smiling for a while. So I looked over the next thing i know he was sending drinks our way... Yes I am a cheap date.. all it took was a couple of glasses of wine and here I am...about to dip my toes in the sand and stroll down the beach..... aamm.. I mean the aisle. Stay tuned.... I am sure you will read about 'his version' soon....
So, it was a Thursday Happy Hour with my co-workers and I see 2 ladies come in and have a seat across the bar from my coworkers and I. One of the ladies looked up and caught my eye. When our eyes met, I had the overwhelming feeling that I should not let this woman leave without speaking to her. There was a little voice that rang an urgent alarm to say something. I sent a drink to Sia and friend. I went to the restroom as an excuse to pass by. On the way back I stopped to see what she was drinking and ended up getting a lecture on the various wines on the menu. We talked for a while and two men came in and sat with both ladies. I went back to my side of the bar not wanting to cause any trouble. She motioned for me to come back. I went over, to talk again. She said that "'No one told you to leave. These are coworkers". We ended up talking until the coworkers left. I let her friend Patrice take a picture of my drivers license before leaving and Happy hour ended up with us talking until 10:30. A happy hour ended with me meeting the woman that would be my future wife. I am glad that I listened to that little voice.
