Question

I've noticed there are several airports in the tri-state area I can fly in to and out of. Which would you recommend?

Answer

Go through JFK! While flights to Newark tend to cost less, you'll make up for that simply by the cost of tolls alone- all bridges and tunnels from New Jersey into New York cost at least $10. LaGuardia is currently under construction and is infamously difficult to get to. JFK also has the most pleasant landing path if you get a little skittish on planes.

I've been doing my research on the location of the wedding, and I see that the train goes to Port Jefferson! Since this is New York, I can take the train everywhere, right?

LOL. Wait, you're serious? It is EXTREMELY advisable that you rent a car.

Question

Where will I park this car that you demand I have?

Answer

There is a valet at the venue! Simply direct said rental car toward the Danford's parking lot on East Broadway (at the three way light, make a right if facing the harbor; keep going straight if the harbor is to your left; if the harbor is to your right, turn around) and pull into said lot. An attendant will be present to assist you.

So... are you getting married inside one of these buildings? There's a lot of maritime-looking buildings and you could be in ANY of them.

Answer

Plot twist: the ceremony isn't in ANY building! The betrothing will occur on the bricks in Mary Bayles Park. The park is on the west side of the main Danford's building- if you can spot a miniature lighthouse and an ordered series of chairs, you're in the right place.

I adore the presence of my children at all times as they're perfect, sweet little angels. Can I bring them to your wedding?

Answer

While kids are awesome and extremely entertaining, we would prefer if you left them at home (in the care of a responsible adult, of course) if we did not specify their names on your invitation. We want you to be able to join us in burning Danford's down... figuratively speaking, of course!

Question

OK, how about bringing an additional adult person (i.e. a "Plus One") to the wedding- even if they have not been specifically included on my invitation? They know how to be quiet and won't complain about the food!

Answer

We're happy to hear you have such well-adjusted friends and familiars! However, we'd prefer if you also left them in the care of a responsible guardian. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis; if you're close with a known party-improvement individual and can't imagine going without them, feel free to reach on out and we'll have a chat!
