The Whitewater Center is designed and operated as an outdoor center offering over 30 different recreational activities. Every element and activity is focused on supporting an all-encompassing experience around the outdoor lifestyle. Additionally, the Whitewater Center hosts international competitions in a variety of sports along with numerous festivals and events on a recurring basis. The Whitewater Center is currently comprised of over 1,300 acres of protected land offering 50 miles of trail and access to the Catawba River and Long Creek. The Center’s goal is to continue to increase the size of these protected lands and promote even greater access through land acquisition and natural resource management. Whether you visit to ride 50 miles of single-track trail or simply enjoy eating a meal by the whitewater course, we are certain that you will connect with others in a shared experience outside.
Located in Gaston County 32 miles west of Charlotte, Crowders Mountain State Park boasts two mountain peaks that offer magnificent views of the surrounding Piedmont. Trails offer challenging hikes and towering cliffs — and even the opportunity to traverse two states through the Ridgeline Trail, which connects to Kings Mountain State Park and Kings Mountain National Military Park in South Carolina. A wide variety of resident birds, from songbirds to birds of prey, make the park a great spot for birdwatching.

Romare Bearden Park is a 5.4-acre public park located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. Named for Charlotte born artist Romare Bearden, it opened in late August 2013. It is across the street from Truist Field, the home of the International League's Charlotte Knights.
Marshall Park is a five and a half acre urban park at 800 East Third Street in the Second Ward of Charlotte, North Carolina, right across from our Sangeet venue, Le Meridien Hotel. It features a large fountain and a lake, an amphitheater, a statue of Martin Luther King Jr., and a Holocaust memorial monument. The park contains large open grassy areas with an unobstructed view of the Charlotte skyline. The Park is named for James B. Marshall, Sr., a former Charlotte city manager.
