What will the ceremony and reception be like?

Answer

The venue is on a farm. The ceremony will happen outdoors next to a barn, and the reception will take place in the barn. Wear practical footwear (heels sink in the grass and the barn floor can be uneven in spots). In case of rain, the ceremony will also take place in the barn. Bringing a jacket and umbrella may be prudent.

How do I get there?

Answer

The venue itself is a little out of town (20 minute drive). If you are driving, the address is: Arlington Acres, 1155 Apulia Road, LaFayette, NY 13084. There will be a shuttle bus leaving from Crowne Plaza to the venue at 3:45 pm.

Answer

Plan on being there at 4pm. There ceremony starts at 4:30pm.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Up to you, but we have a hotel discount (see the "Travel Info" section above) and the shuttle will leave from there.

Can we bring babies?

We'd like babies to not be present during the ceremony.

I heard this will be a barbeque wedding. Is it a barbeque wedding?

Answer

Sort of -- the food will be BBQ catered by Dino BBQ. And it will take place in a barn with some outdoor area. But there won't be a BBQ on site. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know.

Can I go ice climbing nearby?

Answer

Funny that you ask! There isn't much ice climbing out here, but a mile or so from the venue is Labrador Hollow, where you can go ice climbing at Tinker Falls in the winter. There might not be much ice left in July though.
