Question

Who is invited?

Answer

In an ideal world, we would love to invite a ton more people, but unfortunately, only those whose names are on the invite are on our invite list (if your child was invited, his/her name would also be on the invite). Feel free to reach out to Nick or Shruthi with questions and concerns.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal western or Indian attire (women: lehengas, saris, cocktail dresses or evening wear; men: business casual, suits with optional tie, kurta set)

Any other special attire notes we should know?

Answer

It might get a little cold outside, but we will do our best to keep the ceremony a maximum of 15-20 minutes. Please bring a shawl or light jacket for that time if you’d like. We will provide handwarmers!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

There will be plenty of vegetarian options as well as vegan options! And everything will be labeled, as we are having a Korean and Indian food buffet. Please let us know if you have other restrictions.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes there is. However, if you’re staying at a hotel close by, a taxi/Uber/Lyft or designated driver is encouraged.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive a few minutes before the ceremony start time on the invite so you can take your seat. If the ceremony has begun and you arrive late, a security guard will kindly ask you to refrain from entering the ceremony area and you may join during the cocktail reception.

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

No, but the hotels we’ve listed on our "Travel" tab are great options for anyone visiting from out of town!

Are there any updates with regards to the pandemic?

Answer

So far, nothing has changed regarding our date. In order to optimize everyone's safety, we require that guests wear masks any time that they are indoors, which will be only for the reception. Every table will seat no more than 6 people. All of our vendors will be required to wear masks, and our buffet will have masked and gloved servers, who will serve food to our guests. Each table will be called one at a time so as to minimize congregation at the food. The food will be covered any time it is not being served. There will be multiple hand sanitizer stations at each entrance and exit, disposable silverware, plates, cups, and napkins, cupcakes rather than cake for dessert, and servers for appetizers during cocktail hour as well.

Should we get COVID tested? What will the mask situation be like?

Answer

We highly encourage every one of our guests to get a COVID test done before attending for the safety of everyone! Of course, please don’t come if you aren’t feeling well. We also highly encourage everyone to wear masks indoors. The wedding party will all be getting tested beforehand.

Will you be livestreaming your wedding? If so, please give me the link.

Answer

We completely understand if you are not comfortable attending our wedding. It is 100% a personal choice, and we promise we are not offended. That being said, we do not plan on livestreaming our wedding at this point.

What is your last name going to be?

Answer

We are both keeping our own last names legally (it's the 21st century, after all!), and on paper will be Nick Ahn and Shruthi Prabhu. But socially and to friends, we will be going by Nick and Shruthi Prabhu-Ahn!
