Shristi and Will met on Bumble in August 2021. Will was living in Santa Cruz, and Shristi had just moved back to her hometown of Marina after ten years in San Francisco. A swipe right, some back-and-forth, a Facetime call, and a long chat on the phone led to making plans for a first date. Amid a pandemic and many restaurants slowly opening back up, Will and Shristi wandered around downtown Carmel on a Tuesday night in August 2021 before stumbling onto their now favorite Oaxacan spot. They connected instantly over their mutual passion for world travel and their love of food, talking until the restaurant was empty and the floor was being swept. After that evening, Shristi and Will knew they had met someone special. They took their first international trip to Cozumel in 2022, with an amazing day trip to Chichen Itza and all the tacos they could eat. Not long after, they found themselves in Lisbon, Hawaii, and Fiji. Between trips, they hiked local trails and national parks, learned to share the kitchen, and discovered the hidden gems in the places they visited. 2024 has been an epic year! Will proposed to Shristi on a surprise trip to Cancun in April. After living together in Santa Cruz for two years, Will and Shristi packed up their lives in California and their cat Oso and made their way to Lummi Island, a small island in the San Juan Islands where Will spent his childhood, in September. As they settle into their lives in the Pacific Northwest, Will and Shristi invite you to join them on their next big trip .... down the aisle!!
