Please RSVP by August 31st, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)
Here are some of the places where you can find Indian traditional clothes: www.etsy.com www.kalkifashion.com www.houseofindya.com www.amazon.com www.azafashions.com All these websites ship Indian clothes to the US or visit a store in Edison if you're in the NJ area.
We recommend arriving at least one day before the Haldi/sangeet ceremony to allow yourself time to unwind and adjust to any jetlag before the festivities commence. Additionally, if you're interested in last-minute clothing shopping, Mumbai offers a wide array of ready-made options.
India no longer requires proof of vaccination for entry. However, it is good to have your vaccination card (digital copy) as a preventive measure.
Late November & December is usually great time to be in Mumbai with warm days and cool nights. We recommend bringing comfortable clothes. The temperature will be in the 70s/80s Fahrenheit.
To enter India, all non-Indian guests must obtain a visa before leaving their home country. The visa application process can be found online at the Indian government website: indianvisaonline.gov.in Fill out the application for the eVisa and choose the 30-day option. The application takes 3-5 business days to process, but make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months before applying.
