How can I get to Coruña?/ ¿Cómo puedo llegar a Coruña?

As we have guests from all over the world this is a difficult one... Como tenemos invitados que vienen de todas partes, esta es difícil... By Plane/ En avión Coruña has an airport (Madrid has direct flights everyday and London and Barcelona a few days per week) and you also have the airport in Santiago de Compostela (from Dublin, Madrid and London you have a direct flight), Santiago is really close to Coruña (20 min by train/ 40 min by car) Coruña tiene aeropuerto con conexión directa a Madrid y Barcelona, sin embargo normalmente sale mejor de precio llegar a Santiago, hay más conexiones y esta a 20 minutos en tren de Coruña. If you are coming from outside of Europe probably you will have to first arrive to Madrid. By train/En tren You can also get to Coruña by train from Madrid (just 3 hours and a half). How do I get to the venue?/¿Cómo llego al Pazo?

Answer

Please see the Bus Schedule Section/ Por favor mira la sección horario de buses If you decide to not take the buses, the venue is a 20 minute ride from the city centre, so you can take a taxi, the cost probably would be around 20 euros more or less. Uber and Cabify (the Spanish Uber) are also available in the city. Si decidís no usar los buses, podéis coger un taxi desde el centro, el Pazo está a unos 20 minutos en coche. También podéis usar uber o cabify. El coste aproximado sería unos 20 euros.

Yes and thank you! As you know we LOVE travelling so we decided that it would be great if you can gift us our honeymoon! Please got to the "Registry" section of the website. We have registered with Nuba (a travel agency) who is handling our registry to ensure we can take the trip of our dreams thanks to you! ¡Sí y muchas gracias! Is there a dress code for the wedding?/ ¿Hay código de vestimenta?

Answer

Spanish weddings are pretty formal. Long/midi dresses (avoid white as in western weddings this is a colour reserved for the bride), dressy jumpsuits for women and dark suits for men (blue or grey recommended with formal shoes and tie). Should I wear heels?/¿Debería llevar tacones?

Answer

We do recommend bringing heels that are comfortable for you. We will provide flat shoes later in the evening so no worries you will be able to dance all night! Recomendamos llevar los tacones que sean cómodos para ti. Habrá zapato plano disponible por la noche, así que no os preocupéis ¡podréis bailar cómodamente toda la noche!

What type of ceremony/wedding can I expect?/ ¿Cómo será la boda?

Answer

The wedding will not be a catholic wedding, but we will have a ceremony in the garden of the venue. The wedding is a cocktail wedding so there is not going to be formal seating, however do not worry you won't have to stand for hours as we will provide other type of seating arrangements. La boda no es religiosa, pero hemos organizado una ceremonia muy especial en el Pazo. La boda es una boda cocktail, por lo que no habrá sitios asignados, sin embargo, no os preocupéis no tendréis que estar de pie durante horas ya que nos hemos encargado de organizar zonas donde podréis estar cómodos.

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?/ ¿Puedo traer a mis hijos a la boda?

To allow all our guests to enjoy themselves and relax, we have decided to make our special day adults only. What to see/do in Coruña?/Estamos en Coruña... ¿ahora qué hacemos?

Answer

We recommend visiting la Torre de Hércules, the Old Town and just roam around the city. You can go to Santiago for a day trip is a gorgeous city and it is a famous pilgrimage site for Christians. If you like hiking, please go to Fragas do Eume: https://www.spain.info/en/nature/fragas-eume-natural-park/ It just 40 minutes by car from Coruña The beach is in the centre of the city, 5-15 minutes walking from the hotels we recommended depending on which hotel you are. If you surf we recommend Bastiagueiro or Barrañán, they are 15-20 minutes away by car. If you want other beach recommendations farther away from the city, text us! There is much more to do so if you want specific recommendations, please text us! Recomendamos visitar la Torre de Hércules, la Ciudad Vieja y en general andar por la ciudad. También podéis ir un día a Santiago si tenéis tiempo, os podemos dar recomendaciones para comer así que escribidnos si queréis. Si os gusta el senderismo 100% id a las Fragas del Eume, están a 40 minutos en coche. Si os gusta la playa, en Septiembre suele hacer siempre muy buen tiempo, Orzán y Riazor están en el centro, pero tenéis playas más lejos Bastiagueiro o Barrañán (si queréis hacer surf), si queréis otras recomendaciones, escribidnos. What can I expect of a Spanish wedding?

Answer

There is going to be plenty of food for everyone from 7 pm until 11 pm, open bar starting from 11 pm (more or less) and we will provide wine and beer as well as non-alcoholic options from the start. There is no need for you to bring anything else other than yourself! The wedding will finish at 5 am but we will provide buses at around 2 am for all of you early birds ;)!

Answer

Yes, please go to the travel section to see hotels with special discounts for the wedding. We also send you a "Save the date" in February/March with all the hotels and discounts so you should have them in whatsapp. Sí, por favor id a la seccion "Viaje" para ver los hoteles con descuentos especiales, recordad que mandamos un mensaje en Febrero/Marzo con todos los hoteles y descuentos así que deberíais tenerlo en whatsapp.

What time is the wedding?/¿A qué hora es la boda?

Answer

The wedding is an evening wedding so it will start at around 6 pm. Please we kindly ask you to be punctual to the ceremony if you are not planning on taking the buses that will pick you up from the hotels. La boda será de noche, sobre las 6 de la tarde, pero confirmaremos hora más adelante. Por favor os rogamos puntualidad si no cogéis los buses que pondremos.

What will the weather be like this time of year?/ ¿Qué tiempo hará?

Answer

The weather in September is generally really nice between 21- 25 degrees depending on the day, at night it can get a bit chilly (16 degrees) but we will have heaters and the party (after the meal) will be indoors. El tiempo en Septiembre suele ser bueno con unas temperaturas de 21 a 25 grados, depende del día. Por la noche refresca (más o menos 16 grados), pero habrá calentadores para la zona de fuera y de todos modos la fiesta (depués de la cena) se celebrará dentro.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?/ ¿Dónde podemos aparcar? ¿Es gratis?

Answer

If you decide to not avail from the buses. You can park at the venue there is about 50 spaces available for us, and it is free. Si decidís no coger los buses. Podéis aparcar en el sitio y hay unos 50 sitios disponibles, no tiene coste.
