Chelsie Anderson

Maid of Honor

Chelsie is a horse whispering, health guru and mother to Bethany’s nephew, Reagan. Chelsie is Bethany’s sister and built in best friend. Growing up homeschooled in rural places allowed them to bond in a deep and beautiful way. They were adventurous kids together- riding double on horseback down dirt roads, catching minnows and playing for hours in the woods of both Florida and Kentucky. Every day, every moment, together. One of Bethany's greatest gifts in life is knowing that her sister will always ‘get it’, always have her back and always love her. It’s annoying to have a perfect sister- but Bethany has adjusted. At the reception- ask Chelsie about how she use to lock Bethany in a closet. She loves talking about it. ;)

Emily Linton

Bridesmaid

Emily is beauty and hilarity’s love child. She has the magical ability to make hours fly by with belly laughs and sage advise. She’s one of our personal heroes. Emily and Bethany met in middle school and connected over a mutual obsession with the Backstreet Boys. From that passion for BSB grew an unbreakable bond. Emily and Bethany have seen each other through life’s greatest heartbreaks and successes. They performed in plays, fell in love, lost people they loved, found the loves of their lives, laughed on a hundred back porches, lived and grew up. Together. Emily even became a mommy of two! Through all the distance and years, their friendship has only matured into something unbreakable and true. Emily was prom queen in high school. Be sure to Congratulate her on that.

Casey Strivender

Bridesmaid

Casey is a paper doll come to life. She is peace in human form. Rooms are better with her in them. Bethany and Casey met in high school drama class but only connected years after through creative projects from across the country. Who knew they had been so much alike all this time but never knew?! Eventually Casey lended her talent as head costumer on Bethany’s film. Every night of the shoot, they drove home together through the back woods of Kentucky, howling at the moon and decompressing from the day and possibly their entire lives. She's a true Renaissance Woman. A legit truck driver, a full blown mechanic, a master craftswoman, a vintage goddess and a really wonderful friend. Ask her how to build custom shelves, change your oil or be perfect in a dress from the 60s!

Dara Jade Tiller

Bridesmaid

Dara is like a shot of bourbon and a slice of pie. Fiercely loyal, sweet as sugar and eternally ‘down’. She is ride or die apple pie, y’all. Bethany met Dara at the University of Kentucky as theatre majors. During college, they starred in many main stage plays together. Soon they were inseparable. After college they lived and performed together in an outdoor theatre company. They learned to shoot flaming arrows off horseback, and trained in sword fighting. Not ready for the adventure to end, Bethany followed Dara to Louisville for her internship at the Actor's Theatre. They lived and played together before Bethany left to pursue film in LA. Dara starred in Bethany’s film. They hope to make movies and memories together forever! If you feed her bourbon- you can hear her KY accent.

Ashley Elaine Brake

Bridesmaid

Ashley is a rainbow unicorn with big hair, and red lips. She is the literal laugh track to Bethany’s life. They met during a post hurraican trip to Haiti. Their experiences there deeply bonded them. She is the friend you call when you’re stranded in the south of France with no money. She will break into your house and forge a check for you. No bigs. Bethany and Ashley effortlessly find themselves in strange and beautiful scenarios all over the country. Nashville porches and NYC bars. Festivals, bizarre desert circuses, white water rafting. They’ve slept in teepees, on roofs, in cars and in chicken coops. How did we even get here? It doesn’t matter. I love you. Ask her about the time she saw Bethany dress up like Barney for an Armenian christening in Glendale.

Katie Nichols

Bridesmaid

Katie is a bodacious boss lady and talent force field. She is everything fun, and everything real. Bethany first met Katie in an acting class in LA. Bethany was ‘fresh off the boat’ from Kentucky and was determined to befriend the veteran actress, Katie. It was soon obvious that they were twin flames. They went on to produce multiple creative projects together, party their faces off, laugh their faces off, do awkward photo shoots, cry in public places, eat way too much sushi, and truly become chosen family. Their ten year friendship has seen them through jobs, relationships, heartbreak, love, adventure and now the birth of Katie’s first baby, Kaden! Katie is Bethany’s LA sister and confidant. Pat her on the back for being the first to tell Bethany that Spencer was a keeper!

Elisha Sutton

Bridesmaid

Elisha is a graceful, fiery breath of laughter and depth. A mesmerizing actress and soon to be mommy of twins!! Elisha came into Bethany‘s life through her husband Nathan, who starred in Bethany’s film. The way Nathan spoke about Elisha convinced Bethany that she must be an actual goddess. And turns out- she is. Elisha and Bethany clicked so instantly and genuinely that Elisha was convinced they would be mortal enemies someday. But so far- so good. ;) There is no denying their kindred spirits. They fell naturally into adventures, holidays, family dinners and being constant staples of each other’s lives. Elisha has the magical ability to be an incredible wife, eat a ten course meal, be a fit model, make movies and grow two humans! Ask her if she gets any sleep with new born twins!

Augie Duke

Bridesmaid

Augie is a human sparkler and friend to everyone she’s ever met. She is the official owner of the most contagious laugh in human history. The brightest light and warmest heart. Augie is an animal advocate, fashion icon and overall muse. There is significant evidence that Augie is a relic left over from old Hollywood. She’s an LA native with a glow that has never been snuffed. Instead it grows more beautiful with time. Their sisterhood was solidified in a Topanga Canyon trailer while shooting Augie’s role in Bethany’s film. Augie gives everything she has into everything she does. She uplifts those around her so they may sparkle too. We all only hope we get to work with people we like- it’s extra wonderful when we actually love them. Ps. You should probably get her autograph. :)

Schann Rae Mobley

Bridesmaid

Schann is a soothsayer. She is like if honey and warm biscuits wore a dress and called you to tell you to eat dinner. Kentucky raised, now working as an actress in NYC. She is stupid talented and seems as though she has been flown here from a better time. They have been in orbit of each other for almost 15 years. First loving each other’s people and then loving each other and then loving of each other’s people even more. Now they embark on the huge adventure of optioning an incredible true Kentucky story and adapting it for the screen together. If you ever have a panic attack on a road trip, Schann will lay your seat back, feed you snacks and help you breathe. Need a spontaneous frolic in a far off place? She’ll prob be down. Ask Schann what she knows about Colonel Sanders..

Tav Murphy

Best Man

Tav is an adventure seeker with a heart of gold. His friendship is like hearing a Neil Young song when you're feeling down. Spencer and Tav met in film school but have ventured together all over the country, making memories and bringing creative projects to life. Tav is the friend you rely on. The one who will always find you at the end of the night in a crowded music festival or just up and fly to the desert to be a retro alien with you. Whether it be work, relationships or debates over which Herzog film is best- Spencer and Tav never run out of things to connect over. Tav has solidified a place in the hearts of both their family and friends by lending his talents and time selflessly. Ask Tav about the time he locked his clothes in a motorcycle after swimming in Thailand!

Drew Angle

Groomsman

Drew is brilliantly artistic, exceedingly humble and Spencer's "Twin Flame". Such compatible friends in college that they moved in together. Drew still remains the best roommate Spencer has ever had. Besides Bethany. ;) Their epic friendship led them to many nights over Foster's beer and chicken from their favorite local joint (extra sauce) while discussing life and art. Drew is the kind of friend you solve the world's problems with. He is now rocking it in Chicago and even with a country between them, they still manage to shoot films together and share their lives as friends. Spencer has always admired Drew's impeccable ability to see beauty in the strange and light in the dark. Ask Drew about the time they were chased by a junk yard dog in Macon, Georgia!

Max Allman

Groomsman

Max is New York City smarts with a North Carolina heart. He's like a quick witted teddy bear overflowing with talent. Max and Spencer met in an awkward college waiting room. Spencer was intimidated by Max because people at the school knew him. Max was intimidated by Spencer because he was wearing a cardigan. Neither had a clue that they would end up being best friends. Max can basically cover any topic in depth and has the uncanny ability to charm everyone he meets. They connected over their southern roots and big city dreams. Max is now fulfilling those dreams while editing movies in NYC. Ask Max the name of the music festival his friends started in honor of his birthday- that still goes on today!

Michael Kefeyalew

Groomsman

Michael is a renegade songsmith, a film auteur and a deep beautiful soul. Michael and Spencer bonded writing songs during late nights in Tallahassee. Where are those MacBook recordings anyway? They use to bond during night time walks in the humid Florida air. They grew to respect each other for their distinct talents and made a pact that they would always lend a helping hand to support each other's creative endeavors. Michael now lives in New York City working in movies as a Script Supervisor. He's settled in quite nicely as he continues to flourish there as a multi-medium artist. (Although secretly Spencer knows he wants to get the band back together ;) Ask Michael to tell you the backstory to his rap name.

Matt Clegg

Groomsman

Matt is a mentor, a pool shark, a clutch cinematographer and a glorious beard. He was graduating film school as Spencer was starting out. Before leaving, Matt gave Spencer some priceless advice... which cannot be repeated here. They continued to connect after college during late nights in NYC over stained pool tables and glasses of bourbon. Eventually Spencer roped Matt into coming to Kentucky to shoot Bethany’s feature film. In Kentucky, Matt’s talent as cinematographer and bartender really shined. We are eternally grateful to our friends who lend their talents to our dreams. Matt is the epitome of that. Ask Matt to tell you the story of the night he came up with our signature cocktail- 'The Paducah Julip.’

Nathan Sutton

Groomsman

Nathan is an everyman’s man with the rich smell of mahogany. He is writer, actor, director and new father to twins! Spencer met Nathan on the set of Burning Kentucky and they bonded in the woods with the heat and the bugs. Nathan is best served over a backyard fire with a tobacco pipe. They have shared many thoughts and drinks and card games and have truly struck up a friendship that will go the distance. It took them no time at all to realize they were each other’s “tribe”. Nathan's desire to make work that matters and to put family first while he does so, is one of the reasons why Bethany and Spencer have such great respect for him. Bring him a drink- it's his first night out after having twins!

Ben Fuqua

Groomsman

Ladies and Gentleman- meet the Fun Manager. Ben is music guru, film producer extraordinaire, and above all else a Texas Gentleman. In every project, party or room, Ben is probably the best person there. And we think all y'all are great. But. This human has been our MVP so many times that we should probably make him a plaque. He can usually be found jet setting around the world while enhancing the lives and creative projects of everyone he knows. And he knows EVERYONE. (Hell, you probably already know him- so we may be wasting our time with this intro) Ben has become a cornerstone of Spencer and Bethany’s LA family. Perpetually down and always with a smile. Ask Ben where the after party's at...

Ben Kissane

Groomsman

Ben is an action seeker, music lover and gentle giant. Ben and Spencer met on Day One of the High Sierra Music Festival after Ben happened to plop his tent down in the same campsite. They spent the next four days frolicking around, listening to bluegrass and becoming besties until it was time to leave and they realized- they both live in the same city! Ben is as adventurous as they come, whether it's spearfishing or sky diving, anything that comes his way he can conquer with a high five. This fun spirit makes him stand out wherever he goes. (Well that and his height!) He's someone that can dance all night long and make you feel like a hundred bucks with a hug. They have kept their frolicking going to this day. Ask Ben about the time he got lost in Berkeley on New Year's eve!

Diane Sainte Marie

Mother of the Bride

Diane is a quirky, creative burst of love and laughter. When Bethany and Chelsie were young, she took on the selfless task of home schooling them. She went above and beyond for their education and their home life- exposing the girls to literature, music, science, theatre and anything their hearts desired. Diane use to direct Bethany in plays and Bethany credits her mother's love of performance for her career in film. Diane curated a childhood for her daughters filled with animals, adventures, nature, delicious meals, and wonderful family friends. More than anything, she instilled the gift of empathy for others. Today Diane uses her creative eye to transform spaces and her big heart to be a loving Mimi to her grandson Reagan. Ask Diane about the time she fell through our roof!

Steve Anderson

Father of the Bride

Steve is an artist, gallery owner, mentor, philosopher, and music connoisseur. There is no denying that Bethany was a daddy’s girl and Steve’s personal shadow in all things during her childhood. As a homeschool dad, their days were filled with worm farms and paper machete Mayan villages. He was always so present and delighted to be pouring knowledge into his daughters. To this day, there is no advice more reliable than her fathers. No other person with the same ability to speak peace into her. His endless patience and trust in her, gave Bethany the confidence she needed to fearlessly pursue her dreams and blaze all her trails. There are not a lot of days that go by that Bethany isn’t grateful for having won the dad lottery. Ask him about his gallery in Black Mountain!

Debbie Showalter

Mother of the Groom

Debbie is a Southern Bell turned West Coast Socialite. She's an artist, a talent scout, and the life of every party. Debbie was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri but her real adventure began when she met John, her perm-headed, mustache-donning future husband. They fell in love and together survived living in eight cities and thriving through thirty years of marriage. Their marriage is a great inspiration to both Bethany and Spencer. When Spencer was little, Debbie picked up on his love for movies. At one point, Debbie dropped her life to move Spencer to LA to pursue his career as a child actor. And though he's thrown in his commercial acting hat (shame)- Debbie's support for Spencer's dreams is ceaseless. Ask Debbie about her youthful all-nighters partying with ZZ Top.

John Showalter

Father of the Groom

John is a motorcycle riding, cigar smoking, sassy boy from Arkansas. From the dry county of Batesville, he has tackled many positions as a self-made business man. But none so perfectly executed as father and voice of reason to his only son (and living heir) Spencer. He taught Spencer the importance of setting goals and achieving them. Having a good heart- as well as what good country music sounds like. John is sharply dressed and even sharper witted. He gets his confidence from the love of his life Debbie, who has steered him out of the Ozarks and into an adventurous life in LA. He remains an incredible father and best friend to Spencer. Shhh...Ask John to point you to the secret bar at the wedding venue...
