Wayne and I first met at a House Gathering through mutual friends. We hung out a few more times through the same mutual friends before we started talking and getting to know each other. We bonded instantly and the rest is history.

Well, after 2 years of dating, and celebrating each other birthdays. Wayne decided to take it up a few notches. Wayne planned a fun weekend getaway for my 30th birthday to Las Vegas. I was so excited because it was my first flight and first time going to Vegas. A month or so before my birthday, Wayne said it would be nice to have a small birthday dinner at Half Shell (My Favorite Restaurant) and invite my mom, since we would be flying out the next day. He knew I wouldn’t turned down a dinner with my mom. Truth be told, I wouldn’t have turned down a dinner at all at Half Shell. (Laughs) Forwarding, to the evening of my birthday dinner. As we waited to be seated, I started seeing some of my Family and Friends come through the door. I instantly felt overjoyed. He said he wanted to give me a surprised birthday dinner. (He’s the absolute sweetest) Everyone was seated, we ordered, ate, talked and laughed. Wayne stands up to make a Thank you speech (or so I thought) for everyone who came out to celebrate with me. Meanwhile, I was smiling while looking at him because it was so sweet but then I looked around and seen everyone recording. At that moment, came the butterflies and the emotions began flowing. I turned back to look at Wayne and he proceeds to get on one knee and pops the question. I cried so hard and was so shocked that it took me a moment to answer. “Now that I look back it felt like the longest moment in history.” (Laughs) But of course, I SAID YES!!!!! And now We Are Here. WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!
