On July 22nd, 2019, Blake and Shonna met for coffee to talk about a business proposal. Three hours had passed before they realized that they had talked about everything but. Blake is the older brother of Shonna’s best high school friend, Shelby. Their lives have often run parallel to one another, but they never spoke beyond a cordial “hello”. Once they did, the connection was instant.

Somewhere above Canada at 30,000 feet, with the help of the entire flight crew, Blake proposed en route to Croatia. Being the prankster he is, he made sure to thoroughly confuse Shonna with his actions in the days & moments before the proposal, making her wonder if they were actually breaking up rather than getting engaged. In his own words, “you cannot know light without darkness.” One of the coolest places in the world to see the light, is as far north in thr U.S. as you can go. The Aurora Borealis occurs heavily in Fairbanks, Alaska during November. In numerology 11/11 is the number of intuition and dreams coming true while 222 is the number of love, balance, and Divine guidance. We couldn’t think of a more aligned and unforgettable way to say “I Do” than “chasing the lights” on this magical day.
