Mehndi & Sangeet

There is a small parking lot, so please carpool if you can. There are many pre-wedding celebrations for Hindu weddings, and we're combining two of them! Mehndi, also known as henna, is used to create designs on the bride’s hands that symbolize luck and bliss in her married life. However, it is not just for the bride - we're going to have a mehndi artist so you can get yours done, too! A Sangeet is a joyous music and dance night that brings together both families before the big day (peep the FAQ's for more info). Watch performances by our friends and family while enjoying a tasty homemade chaat bar. We can't wait to welcome you to a weekend of festivities!

Ceremony & Reception

4:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Attire: cocktail and/or Indian. Bring your dancing shoes! :)

Same rules as Friday: please carpool! The festivities begin with a baraat (marriage procession) at 4:45 sharp. The baraat only involves the groom and his friends and family. It will start in the parking lot and make its way to the mandap (wedding canopy) which is where the havan (ceremony) will begin! If you are a friend or family member of the bride, you'll take your seat as usual and welcome the procession. After the ceremony, there will be a buffet-style dinner and dancing!
