Meet our bridesmaids & groomsmen!

Maid of Honor

Hi!!! I’m Aunisha, Shivani’s older but wiser sister/cousin! I also have the honor of being the Maid of Honor on her special day! I’ve known Shivani since she was in womb, and I haven’t been able to get rid of her! There are sooo many fun memories that Shivani and I have experienced from traveling the world, our shopping sprees for things we most likely don’t need, to trying new Indian restaurants (ordering way too much food then we should have) and so many more fun things! Butttt my most fav memory is probably our escapades to CPK, for prolly a good 4-5 years when Shivani and I wanted to sneak out of the house without explanation we used to tell both our parents that my iPhone was broken so we can go to CPK! The amount of time we used this as an excuse I’m truly shocked that anyone in our family has any Apple products🤣 Needless to say whatever Shiv and I are doing it was always the best time! I love her like she’s my little sister, which obviously she is, I have experienced so many amazing moments in her life, and I can’t wait to be a part of her big day (if you’re looking for me at the wedding I’ll be the girl sitting next to her crying like a lunatic) because my baby sister is all grown up! 🥂to Shivani and Kush can’t wait to celebrate you BIG ❤️

I first met Shivani in the breathtaking (read: very small, very quiet) town of Danville, PA. We had the privilege of partaking in Thursday full-day clinics where we somehow managed to bond over shared trauma and -let’s be honest- more gossip than actual patient care. Shivani is the kind of person you can always count on, whether it's for a no-nonsense, straight-to-the-point conversation, an impromptu dinner outing with just five minutes notice, or a round of shots at the legendary Pub II. Behind all the shots and laughter, she is one of the most driven, hardworking, and compassionate people I know, so it is no surprise that Kush put a ring on it! Can’t wait to celebrate this special couple on their very special day!!

Hi, I'm Forum, one of Shivani’s bridesmaids! Shivani and I met through mutual friends when she was living in Chicago during her rotations for med school. Our friend group pretty much spent every weekend together, whether it be going out partying at Feds or staying in and having game nights or dance parties to Choli Ke Peeche! We've shared so many laughs, for which I'm so grateful! Can't wait to celebrate the couple!

I first met Shivani through what’s app. She was the only gujju brown last name I recognized in our residency program so I instantly felt a connection. This friendship ultimately led to the creation of TTT, a gossip gang if you will. But in all seriousness, I could not have asked for a better friend to have wine nights with, ice creams runs, and pub 2 shots and endless food. We love that you found your Kush forever!! Can’t wait to celebrate you two!

Hi! I’m Varsha! Kush’s sister. I first met Shivani on Kush’s birthday in July 2022, and we kicked things off in the best way possible—celebrating at The Weeknd concert! From that night on, it’s been so much fun getting to know her. Shivani is fun, smart, and such a great match for my brother. I’m beyond excited to officially welcome her into the family and can’t wait to celebrate their big day! 💕

Jab We Met! Shivani and I met during our first year of residency in Danville, PA and from day one, we were almost always co-interns on inpatient medicine, surviving the chaos of rotations together. The best way to get through residency? Good food and great company. So, I’d text Shivani, "Wanna get dinner?" and she’d always say yes—whether it was enchiladas at Abrana Marie’s or breakfast at the Bloomsburg Diner, or drinks at THE PUB II, we’d find time to laugh through the long days. What I admire most about Shivani is that, while she’s the life of the party, she’s also one of the hardest working and most passionate doctors I know. Now, as a gastroenterologist, she’s going to do incredible things! Kush is beyond lucky to have her. Can’t wait to celebrate their special day! Wishing a lifetime of love, adventure, and shared meals to Shivani and Kush!

Shivani and I met in our freshman year of high school and our group of friends became inseparable. From playing Rock Band in her den to step practice during spirit week, we loved spending time with each other. We stuck by one another throughout college as we were the only two who remained in the city. To wind down from the stress that college brings, we would meet up for matinee movies at the 42nd street AMC and grab lunch at Chevys across the street. Shivani never failed to pull a coupon out of her bag for a buy one get one entree for $3.99. Looking back on the years of our friendship, she was someone I could lean on for a good cry or grab halal guys with. She is not only one of my best friends but she is my sister from another mister.

I met Shivani around freshman year of high school in 2004/2005. I went to middle school with Suphita, who then went on to The Mary Louis Academy for high school, where she introduced me to our great group of friends, Shivani being one of them. We've been great friends ever since. One of my favorite memories with Shivani was one of our friends trips to Punta Cana. We had an excursion that involved dune buggies so we all paired off. I couldn't drive so I was paired off with Shivani. We had to wear goggles and bandanas to cover our noses and mouths from the dirt and wind. It was fun and filled with laughs as we watched everyone get covered in dirt on the way to a cave. It was a fun trip overall! I can't wait to celebrate Shivani & Kush!

Shivani and I go all the way back to 2014 when we first met in med school in Poland. The first time I sat down to talk to her was when someone introduced us, saying she had some “tea” (she always knows the town gossip) about some people acting brand new. That’s how we initially became friends. We had our little study/vacation/party agent group 0, and the rest is history! One story that always sticks out in my mind is the one of Shivani absolutely destroying us boys in Poland on a night out on the town. During one of the early days in Poland, she claimed she could drink us college boys under the table. Us, being egotistical little brats, gladly accepted the challenge with a chuckle. Little did we know, Shivani was an undercover raging whiskey-a-holic… well, that’s the only way to explain it since she was the only one who didn’t “taste the whiskey twice” 🤢 that night!! Even with that stupid bet, her determination and friendship were visible. Shivani is now one of my closest and best friends. We graduated medical school and residency the same year and had a truly unforgettable journey reaching here and now, together side by side! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Shivani! Looking forward to celebrating your union with Kush over some (maybe slightly more) glasses of whiskey! Wish you guys the best! Cheers!

Like a few others on the bridal party roster, Shivani and I joined forces way back in highschool - From random homeroom assignments in the third floor resource center to the dusty streets of Chicago, shes been an integral part of the FanFou strong (iykyk). Let me share one of the more impactful memories I've had with her throughout the ages. Some may not know but Shivani referred me to my first big girl job, where we just so happened to sit next to each other when she clocked in on Fridays. She might not realize it but she pulled me out of a tough post-graduation rut, and made my weeks bearable knowing if I got through Mon-Thur, I'd have a whole day with one of my best friends come Friday morning. Much like high school and making sure I caught the early train as I couldn't wait to hang out with my friends before homeroom, I made sure I was always bright and early for that one day of the week.

Shivani and I met as freshman in high school. We've been friends ever since pairing up in our first gym class. Every morning we took the train to school along with Elyse and Jennifer. The 4 of us became inseparable during high school. All our teachers knew if they saw 1 of us, the rest of us weren't far behind. Once we got our licenses we spent some of our summers looking for a Mister Softee truck to hit our soft serve cravings. Shivani is someone I could always call to try new restaurants with. Can't wait to celebrate by her side!

Best Man

It all started in 1987, when two tiny bundles of chaos entered the world just one month apart, setting the stage for a lifetime of shenanigans. Legend has it that when we first met, our parents placed us next to each other on a blanket, and we immediately locked eyes like two CEOs sizing up the competition. “Who are you?” was written all over our faces. From there, it was game on. We grew up like a pair of Indian American twins, getting into trouble and navigating life side-by-side. Fast forward to college, where we brought our childhood antics to campus, making people question whether we were actually there to study or just running a two-man comedy show on the side. Turns out, we did a bit of both. Now I get the honor of standing next to him as his best man, boy have we come a long way! Cheers 🥂

Kush and I met each other at Varsha's birthday in 2019, when he drove down to DC to help his sister host her party. He is a great brother and brother-in-law. Great memories include (1) setting up a huge Christmas tree in his living room in Pennsylvania; (2) Going horse back riding in Pennsylvania; (3) Getting tacos in Cancun; (4) Going to the Weeknd concert in NJ; (5) Having him be one of my "best men" at my wedding to his sister!

Growing up in suburban NJ - Kush and I were inseparable kids on a mission to take things apart, explore how they work and generally have some nerdy fun. I remember the days where we took apart Xbox's, modded them in a scramble to play torrented video games for free. The journey was as much of the fun as playing the video games themselves. I can't say all of our adventures were successful - many led to a graveyard of broken gadgets, half soldered chips, and Frankenstein video game consoles. Later on we jumped on the .com wagon with our looming websites like neatoffer.com, vydharthi.com and our zest for a good deal. We still share that today -- whenever I find a crazy low price on a laptop or tablet - Kush is the first person I message. I really cherish the fun memories we've had and how much we have both grown since then. It's been amazing to spend more time with Kush again in the past few months and meet Shivani. They are building a really special life together and I can't wait to create many more memories with them! Can't believe my best buddy is getting married!

I met Kush outside Tufts Medical Center, and within 60 seconds of knowing me, he asked me for my V-Card. I later found out that that means contact info. We have been inseparable since, talking virtually everyday. He has been with me through my highest highs, and lowest lows. A clear, consistent, calming presence, who always has a listening ear. He is one of the most genuine human beings that I know.

We all know that Kush has a million-dollar personality. He isn’t afraid to approach anyone, and on a wild day in September 2016, I was extremely lucky when he introduced himself to me outside of “pre-clin.” That was the start of our incredible brother-sister relationship that has stood the test of time—through hospitalizations, board exams, countless moves, and numerous late-night tears and laughs. My favorite memory of Kush will always be our commitment to studying at the same table in the communal study area of the Tufts Dental library. We relied on each other to show up, and despite the stress of impending exams, we learned to value our journey together more than the outcomes. This fostered a trust that has shaped who we both are today. It’s emotional to see this same trust extend beyond the library walls as we’ve navigated post-graduate plans, different jobs, family losses, and meeting our loved ones. I’m excited for Kush’s life with Shivani ahead and can’t wait to see the beautiful journey they embark on together.

I remember meeting Kush when he was first applying to Tufts Dental. I was like "Yes! A chance for another CMU Grad". And then I was fairly excited to find out that Kush was going to Tufts. Dental school was crazy for all of us and it feels like we are old war buddies that somehow survived and I am grateful we were able to keep in touch after graduation. Can’t wait to be by his side celebrating!

Some of my best memories with Kush come from our late-night dental school study sessions. As one of the original "Study Ninjas" (a title he proudly gave our group), we spent countless hours buried in textbooks and surviving on BKP. Even in the most stressful moments, he always found a way to make us laugh when we needed it most. One of my favorite memories outside of school was spending a day in D.C. with him—exploring the city, having great conversations, and just enjoying the moment. It’s been an honor to call Kush a friend, and I couldn’t be happier to stand by his side as he and Shivani start this next chapter. Can’t wait to celebrate with you both!
