For the Pithi, we highly encourage guests to wear different color yellow toned South Asian attire! Yellow is a traditional and auspicious color for this pre-wedding ritual in South Asian culture. It symbolize as a cleansing of the, new beginnings, prosperity, and joy, complementing the turmeric paste (haldi) that will be applied to the soon to be bride and groom.
South Asian attire is encouraged. Think bright colors and/or jewel tones and festive styles: lehengas, salwar suits, sarees, sparkly pantsuits, kurtas, sherwanis, or indo-western wear.
