9:00 am - 1:00 pm
We invite you to join us for the beautiful and lively Pithi ceremony - a treasured South Asian pre-wedding tradition.
For the Pithi ceremony, we highly encourage guests to wear yellow attire! Yellow is the traditional and auspicious color for this pre-wedding ritual in South Asian culture. It symbolizes a cleansing of the couple, new beginnings, prosperity, and joy, complementing the turmeric (haldi) paste that will be applied to the soon to be bride and groom. We will begin with a prayer where the couple and their families come together for a moment of gratitude and connection. This ceremony seeks blessings for the couple's new life ahead. Following the prayer, the Pithi ceremony will take place symbolizing purification and good fortune. During this joyful ritual, family and friends will lovingly apply golden turmeric paste to the bride and groom's face, neck, arms and legs, creating a wonderfully festive atmosphere. (Please note: we kindly ask that you avoid applying paste to Cassie's lower arms.) Please join us as our two families come together to celebrate and connect before the big day!
5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
We invite you to the Sangeet - a pre-wedding celebration centered around music, dance and performances.
South Asian attire is encouraged, but please wear whatever you are comfortable in! Comfort is key since we'll be dancing. Think bright colors and festive styles: lehengas, salwar suits, sarees, sparkley pantsuits, kurtas, sherwanis, or indo-western wear. Choose something that lets you move and groove! This South Asian tradition brings both families together for an evening of dancing and celebrating the couple. It's a lively, fun-filled event where everyone participates. Please join us as our two families come together to celebrate and connect before the big day!
