Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate if you have a plus one. It will also show if you have a plus one when you RSVP on our website. Please do not bring a plus one if you are not allotted one. Thank you so much for your consideration.

Answer

All guests invited to the wedding ceremony are invited to our Welcome Party. It will be at the Magnolia Hotel on May 24th, 2024 at 6:30pm. If you are planning to come, please RSVP under the RSVP tab on our website.

You will have to pay for parking at the Magnolia Hotel, which is where the Welcome Party will take place. We encourage guests to Uber/Lyft.

Formal (think evening attire) or traditional Nigerian/Chinese attire For men, this would be a suit (with jacket). For women, this would be preferably a floor length or below-the-knee length gown/skirt or pants/pantsuit

5:30 PM CST. Please plan to arrive by 5:00pm so that you have sufficient time to park and find your seats

What time should I leave to get to the wedding venue?

Answer

How long it would take to get to the venue depends on where you are staying but I would definitely budget some extra time for transportation because Houston traffic is pretty bad. The merging on the highways can be confusing as well and if you miss a merge, it can be a 20 minute detour.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

We recommend by private vehicle or Uber/Lyft. It is about 30 minutes from Downtown Houston. Unfortunately, there are no public transportation options.

How does parking work at the wedding venue?

Answer

There will be free parking at the venue. Please plan ahead and do not leave cars at the venue overnight because the gates going into the venue will be locked the next day and you will be unable to retrieve your car

Is the wedding ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

They will both be indoors.

Can I take photos during your wedding?

Answer

We would like to have an unplugged ceremony so that guests can fully be part of our special moment with us. We will have a professional wedding photographer and will share those photos with guests once we receive them. Feel free to take as many photos as you would like during the reception!

Based on trends, the high is in the mid to high 80s.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be beer and wine at the Welcome Party and beer, wine, and spirits at the wedding reception. For non-alcoholic drinks, there will be water and sodas at both events.

Will there be vegetarian options?

Answer

Yes, there will be at both the Welcome Party and wedding reception; however, selection will be more limited at the Welcome Party. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know as soon as possible and we will try our best to accommodate.
