FAQs

Question

When should I reply by?

Answer

Kindly reply by June 23rd via our website.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Welcome Drinks: Dressy Casual Attire Wedding Day: Black Tie Preferred and Formal Attire

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The Doors to the Art Museum will open as early as 5:30 p.m and the ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Arriving to the venue 20-minutes before the ceremony is a great idea to be sure you are able to find the venue and settle in before it begins. Out of respect for the couple and guests, late arrivals will not be seated once the ceremony has started.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Milwaukee Art Museum has an underground parking garage. The garage is located south of the Museum on N. Art Museum Drive, which is accessed from Michigan Street or Lincoln Memorial Drive.

Question

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will all be indoors. However, the cocktail hour will be held outside on the terrace.

Question

Will there be any wedding events on Saturday?

Answer

While there is no formal event planned, we would love for our friends and family to stay the weekend and hit the town with us in the evening! We also encourage our guests to enjoy all that Milwaukee has to offer on a summer Saturday.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The wedding party and family will be staying at the Trade Hotel, and we would love for our guests to join us there to make the weekend even more special! Please see the Travel page for booking information.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have carefully planned our celebration with limited capacity. If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Will the Milwaukee Art Museum exhibits be open during the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately not. The ceremony and reception will be taking place after museum hours. If you would like to come early, you are more than welcome to view the gallery at their opening hours 10 a.m to 5 p.m.
