Shilpa was a Google Maps pin. James was Yoshi from Mario Kart. They struck up a conversation in the buffet line at a business school Halloween party and the rest was history.

It was a typical Spring day in Seattle - which started with sunshine and suddenly turned into a downpour - when James asked Shilpa to marry her at the Olympic Sculpture Park. They celebrated together while socially distanced onlookers applauded and snapped a few photos. That day will forever be a special memory.

James and Shilpa officially got hitched at The Hitching Post in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Since it was a rather spontaneous development, Shilpa shared the exciting news with her family on their drive across Washington, and James' parents joined for the small ceremony while his siblings joined via FaceTime! Our impromptu, socially distanced reception was held at the Bier Haus with a few friends (thanks to Matthew Widmyer for sponsoring), but we hope you can all join us for a more proper celebration!
