Getting There! Taking the Ferry

From Boston or elsewhere in New England, you can drive your car, catch a bus, or get a car rental to the ferry terminal in Woods Hole. The ferry ride is 45 minutes long, and you can grab a cup of chowdah or a cold Bad Martha beer to enjoy while you take in the views! If you want to take a car over for the weekend, you must make a reservation in advance. Reservations for September 2021 are now available for booking! The ferries from Woods Hole bring you either to Vineyard Haven or to Oak Bluffs. For those not bringing a car, if you take a ferry to Vineyard Haven, you can get to the town in which you are staying by taxi, Uber, or by the MV bus system (very popular with visitors).

Boston Logan Airport (BOS)

Boston Logan is the closest major airport to Martha's Vineyard. From Logan you can catch a bus to the ferry, or pick up a rental car (or link up with other guests you know to carpool!). Connecting flights to MVY are also available from BOS and will get you there in under an hour!

Lodging

We highly recommend that you arrange to stay ON Martha’s Vineyard (as opposed to the mainland), as our reception will end after the last ferry runs from the island to the mainland. We’ve compiled a list of AirBnB stays available for our wedding weekend, as well as some recommendations for local hotels and bed & breakfasts. If you want to explore other options, note that our ceremony and reception will both take place in the town of Oak Bluffs.

This family-owned, harbor-front inn in Oak Bluffs is just a short 5-minute drive to our ceremony & reception venue! Originally built in 1874, The Attleboro House was completely renovated in 2018.

The Dockside Inn is a boutique-style hotel on Oak Bluffs Harbor. Also check out their sister property just a few blocks away, the Madison Inn (https://madisoninnmv.com/). Both are just under a 10-minute drive to our ceremony & reception venue!

We love the Vineyard Square Hotel! Situated in downtown Edgartown, Vineyard Square has a great front porch and is close to many shops and restaurants. This is a 15-20 minute drive from our ceremony and reception venue, and just down the street from our welcome reception!

The Harbor View Hotel is perfect for anyone who is looking for a bit of luxury for their trip to MV! This hotel is just down the street from Edgartown's downtown scene and boasts a view of the Edgartown Harbor Lighthouse. Not staying here? We'll still see you here for our welcome reception on Friday night!
