Stop by the Jaws Bridge, known locally as 'Second Bridge' or 'Big Bridge,' and you'll see it's typically packed with kids of all ages. No real or mechanical sharks there, so feel free to take the plunge; the Atlantic Ocean water is the warmest it will be all year in September! Need more to get your full 'Jaws' fix? Aquinnah is a center of Wampanoag culture, and there are few places on the Vineyard where you can find more stunning views than at the Aquinnah Cliffs overlook and the iconic Gay Head Lighthouse. It's a bit of a drive, but worth it to see the epic clay cliffs, which were carved by glaciers.
The Galley was a staple stop on the annual bike ride around the Vineyard that Emma and her mom took every summer! The chowder was a favorite of Emma's late grandmother and on a clear day you can take in views of the nearby Elizabeth islands while you enjoy it. If you have a free evening, stick around for one of the best sunset views on the island!
