Question

Friends and Family who cannot make it to Italy

Answer

We will be hosting a wedding celebration when we come home from our adventures in Europe! More details to come on the date and location of this celebration.

Question

When should we fly in and out?

Answer

Michael and Shianne are leaving for Italy on Thursday, July 7th on the United (Flight UA 416) Departing at 9:15 PM- Arrival in Milan at 1:10PM. This is a direct flight! Anyone is welcome to join us on this flight, if you book it let us know! Otherwise, we are hoping to meet up with any guests that are in Bellagio on Saturday, July 9th, to explore the villages on Lake Como. As well as on Sunday, July 10th for a boat excursion and tour of Villa Carlotta! The wedding is not until Tuesday, July 12th. The days' activities outlined the weekend prior to the wedding are just a chance for us to spend more time with our guests and is absolutely not required to attend. Outside of the wedding, check out the 'Things to Do' and 'Schedule' tabs to get a sense of what else you might want to see and do while in Italy. Your trip can be as thorough or as relaxed as you make it!

What COVID requirements to enter Italy?

If no one of this above certifications is presented once entered into Italy there will be a compulsory fiduciary isolation (5 days)

Do I need to wear a mask in Italy?

MEASURES IN FORCE FROM MAY 1 TO JUNE 15, 2022 – MASKS: In Italy, there is no longer an obligation to show the so-called "Green Pass" for access to transport, catering or hotel services, nor for access to other commercial facilities. From May 1, it is mandatory to wear FFP2 type respiratory protective equipment in the following cases: (a) for access to and use of the following means of transport: 1) aircraft used for commercial passenger transport services; 2. ships and ferries engaged in interregional transport services; and 3) trains used in interregional, Intercity, Intercity Night and High Speed passenger rail transport services; 4) Buses and coaches engaged in passenger transport services, of an undifferentiated nature, operated on a continuous or periodic basis by road on routes linking more than two regions and having fixed routes, timetables, frequencies and prices; (5) buses used for rental services with driver 6) vehicles used in local or regional public transport services; 7) means of school transport dedicated to primary, lower secondary and upper secondary school students; b) for shows open to the public that take place indoors in theatres, concert halls, cinemas, entertainment and live music venues and other assimilated premises, as well as for sports events and competitions that take place indoors. It is recommended to wear respiratory protective equipment in all indoor public places or places open to the public.

Are the ceremony and reception held at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Conveniently, the ceremony, happy hour, dinner, and dancing will be at the same location. We have rented out the entire Villa for the event, so guests have full access to wander the gardens and Villa!

Where should we fly into?

Answer

We suggest flying into the Malpensa Airport (MXP) in Milan. There is another airport in Milan (Linate/ LIN) that you can fly into, yet it is a bit smaller and does not have the trains easily accessible.

Should we travel with gifts?

We sincerely mean it when we say your presence at the wedding will be enough of a gift!!

When should we book our ticket?

Flights to Italy are posted 10 months in advance, so you are able to book your flight at anytime!! The bride and groom will be flying out on Thursday, July 8th. You are welcome to fly with us or anytime the weekend before the wedding!

Italy's July weather is perfect! The average high is around 79F and the average low is around 65F. Most days are sunny in July! The evenings cool off so make sure to bring light coats along!

Who, when, and how much should I tip?

Answer

Answer

Yes! For Italy there are three associated plug types, types C, F and L. We recommend purchasing a wall adapter that has numerous plug types so you can change and modify your adapter for each outlet you find in your European travels!

If I come the weekend before the wedding where should I stay?

Answer

The bride and groom will be staying at Hotel Belvedere in Bellagio in Lake Como the nights of 7/9-7/11. If you plan to join in the pre-wedding festivities we highly recommend staying in the town of Bellagio as well! But you are welcome to stay in any town or do some traveling before the wedding! The location of the wedding Villa is in Laglio, Lake Como. It would be challenging to stay in Laglio and attend the festivities the weekend before the wedding. How will I get to the Wedding venue from Bellagio?

We will organize a boat transfer for the guests who stay in Bellagio the weekend before the wedding to take us to Laglio on the morning of July 11th.
