Matron of Honor
I'm so thankful for my sister, Jessica. The Lord has given us the gift of living together as adults for a season in life, and I treasure her as a beloved friend and sister in Christ. Jessica and Daren (her husband) have been such a big support and encouragement in my relationship with Josh.
Bridesmaid
Marie was my discipler in college, and I still remember meeting up weekly at the student union going through books of the Bible verse by verse. Both Marie and Terence (her husband) have been a source of encouragement to me as I learned how to navigate life after college. It's always a joy to hang with the Chung family! Marie and Terence have three kids (Malaya, Peter, and Josie) and currently reside in Austin, TX.
Bridesmaid
We met sophomore year in college and bonded over our love for brunch, waking up early on Saturdays to play tennis, and attending college Sunday School at Austin Chinese Church. After graduation, God gifted us with opportunities to spur one another on spiritually throughout the years. Mary is married to Jonathan, and has three kids (Joshua, Jackson, and Julianne). They currently reside in Dallas.
Bridesmaid
We met the first day I moved to the dorms at UT Austin, and I can still remember her warm and welcoming smile. Rania's gentle and loving spirit has been a source of encouragement and support to me throughout the years. I'm always so thankful for chats and times of prayer together in each season of life. Rania is married to Brian, and they live in Dallas.
Bridesmaid
Jen lives in the Bay Area, and we first met on a trip to China when I was in college. We've kept up throughout the years, and I'm so thankful for her pursuit of the Lord, even in the midst of difficulties. Her investment in college kids and others for God's kingdom has made an impact in my life. And I love hanging out with her, whether on the snow slopes in Tahoe, or at the beach!
Bridesmaid
We attended Epic (Cru) at UT Austin and bonded over weekly dinners at her off campus dorm. Angel is gracious in the way she encourages her friends, and I'm always encouraged by her faith in the Lord, especially amidst life's challenges. I'm so thankful for her friendship over the years! Angel is married to John, and they have two kids (Sienna and Ethan). They currently reside in Dallas.
Best Man
Brett and I first met at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, and I immediately knew that we would be able to work together because we were both so quirky. His passion for worship is only trumped by his passion and joy for God’s Word. Even though we were serving in different churches, it was great to serve God together in NYC. Our weekly sermon writing sessions will always be one of my favorite times with Brett. Brett is married to Lauren, and they have a son, Ezra.
Groomsman
Norman was a big part of my life when I served at Columbus Chinese Christian Church. We became really good friends through missions in Taiwan and serving in the College Ministry together. Being a part of each other's spiritual growth has been a blessing to my own life. He's a friend that helps me continue to strive for excellence. Norman is married to Sophie, and they have one daughter, Sola.
Groomsman
Jason has been like a brother to me and a great friend. He was a part of my first discipleship at NYC and has cared for me not just in ministry but also in my personal life. He is one of the few guys that will tell me I need to rest and then take me on vacation. He will tell me that I need to take better care of myself and then take me out to eat and then upgrade my wardrobe. God truly blessed me with Jason and Lisa's (his wife) friendship!
Groomsman
Victor is the younger brother I never wanted, but I'm joyful that God put him in my life. Victor’s generosity and gentleness is always on display. He just genuinely cares for people and how they are feeling. Victor allowed me to live at his house and helped drive me down to seminary. He was a great ministry intern, and I miss serving with him. Lord willing, one day we can partner for the Kingdom again. Victor is married to Anna and pastors at a church in Cypress, CA.
Groomsman
Sam and I became friends also in my time at Columbus Chinese Christian Church. He really helped me to not only dress better, but also taught me to be more kind and patient in ministry. Even though it didn’t always stick right away, Sam was always patient and kind to me and really helped me to grow as a minister of the Gospel. Sam is the English Pastor at Chinese church in North Carolina.
Groomsman
Chris is the other little brother I never wanted, but am glad that God placed him in my life. Even though Chris and I met at my time in Columbus, I see him as a fellow minister of the gospel and someone that will be not just honest with me but also very blunt. Chris and I often come up with various shenanigans, but what keeps our friendship strong is our passion for the Asian American Church. We talk at least once a week about ministry and the Phoenix Suns. Chris is the youth minister at a Chinese church in Maryland.
Flower Girl
Elli, Josh's 2 year-old niece, has Josh absolutely wrapped around her finger! In addition, Josh treasures his sister Jocelyn and Enoch (her husband), and they have shown so much love and care over the last year as he lived with them in Dallas.
Flower Girl
Sherry has had the privilege and fun of watching AJ and Sophie grow into the sweet girls they are now! Moreover, she deeply cherishes the friendship with their parents, Marcus and Florence Ku.
