We met at California Lutheran University, in Swenson 111, during the orientation for our Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy program. Our mutual friend, Molly Rosenberg, told us to look for each other in the program. After Molly's suggestion, Danielle introduced herself to Andrew...and she just knew. Two years later, Andrew proposed in the very room where he and Danielle first met.
Andrew did an exceptional job planning the most perfect proposal. He contacted a professor from the couple's MFT program, asking her to reach out to Danielle about speaking to first-year students on life after graduation. Of course, with Danielle being such a nerd, she jumped at the chance. The plan was in motion. Andrew then enlisted help from friends and family to set up candles and rose petals in the classroom where the couple first met. On September 26, 2018, Danielle arrived at CLU to give her speech to the class, but instead walked into her future.
