Our wedding will be semi-formal. You are not required to wear full black tie attire, but we ask that you refrain from casual attire. Slacks/khakis, nice clean jeans, polos, button ups, cocktail and sun dresses are all appropriate. Obviously no white, ivory, etc. No t-shirts or athletic shorts please. Bring your comfortable dancing shoes!
We will be having an unplugged ceremony- meaning we request that phones are put away during the ceremony. We have hired a very competent photographer to take pictures during the ceremony and respectfully ask that no one takes pictures using their phone during the ceremony, regardless of how close you are to the bride and/or groom.
After careful consideration, we have decided not to have children at the wedding with an exception of some family. We request that no children attend unless they are explicitly invited. Thank you for understanding.
There is no “official” after party scheduled following the send off at the end of the night. Guests are encouraged to keep the party going with friends if they so desire after departing the venue; it is a night of celebration after all! Though guests must be departed around midnight, the local Marriott hotel in Springfield offers a bar that is open late for those that want to keep the party going.
There are a few rules set by the venue we have to follow: 1. Guests must begin departing prior to 12am following the send off. 2. Sparkler send off must take place at least 50 feet from the reception barn. 3. No smoking in the reception area unless along the fence row by the parking area. 4. No glass beer bottles Basically, leave the place looking decent and in tact. Other than that, just have a good time!
Yes! Please see the registry section on this website. We will add additional registries on here as well if we create them at different locations (ie: Amazon). To prevent duplicates when buying items from the registry, we respectfully ask that you please purchase directly from the registry rather than finding the same/similar items elsewhere.
We will have a few beer kegs with a couple different types of beer. Please drink responsibly and feel free to BYOB! Please note that venue rules restrict glass bottles to eliminate the risk of broken glass.
