FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to the future Mr & Mrs. Wright.
Question

Why Barbados?

Answer

Alexander always wanted a destination wedding. Additionally, many of Sherene’s family reside in Trinidad & Tobago (T&T). We chose Barbados because it is close enough to Sherene’s family in T&T, it is an island we have been to multiple times, and the island hasn't restricted non-residents / non-citizens during the pandemic.

Question

Where can we find information about Barbados?

Answer

You can visit the following website for general details about the island and the many things you can do there before or after our wedding: https://www.visitbarbados.org/

Question

What are the COVID protocols to travel to Barbados?

Answer

During the time this FAQ was put together (January 2021), to travel to the island two COVID tests are required (one prior to traveling and one upon arrival). A test is needed within 3 days before arrival and a negative result needs to be uploaded at travelform.gov.bb. Upon arrival, you’ll need to be retested 5 days after your 1st accepted negative test. Once you arrive to the Hotel in Barbados, you'll be restricted to a section of the Hotel to quarantine until you receive your 2nd negative test result, which may take 24 - 48 hours. Latest details can be found on the following Visit Barbados sites: https://www.visitbarbados.org/covid-19-travel-guidelines-2020 https://issuu.com/visitbarbados/docs/btmi_travel_protocols_final/3

Question

When should we plan to arrive?

Answer

Given the current requirement of needing a 2nd negative test result while in Barbados, and assuming it takes 48 hours to receive results, we suggest you plan to arrive in Barbados at least 3 days prior to the wedding. Sherene and Alexander will be arriving on Wednesday, August 11th.

Question

If I don’t have a plus-one can they stay with me at the hotel?

Answer

Yes. Although they will not be able to attend the wedding ceremony and reception, if you do not have a plus-one, you may travel with them and they can stay with you at the Resort.

Question

How can I access the booking reservation form?

Answer

You’ll find the booking reservation form on the Travel page of the site (“View” button under the Hotel information). Reservation discounts have been extended to April 30th. Note: You may not be able to "preview" the form in a web browser or mobile device (if you do not have the Google Drive app). However, once you click "View" on the Travel page you will be able to click "Download" to access and download the form. If you are still having trouble viewing and/or downloading the form from the site please reach out to Alexander or Sherene.
