Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Obviously don't wear sweats! Dress wedding casual is fine but bring something warm in case it gets cold. No need for suit and tie.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

If you are thinking of giving a gift to help us on our way, a gift of cash towards our wishing well would really make our day. However, if you prefer to purchase a gift, we are registered with Amazon, so feel free to surprise us in your own way. Since we live far-away and can’t travel with gifts, please donate to our wishing well or order online and have them delivered to our house. All registry information can be found on this website and wishing well QR code will be in the invitation.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Yes, but please let us know in your RSVP by putting down your +1 name. RSVP Due date was Sept. 26th and we are now at our guest limit. If you did not RSVP, unfortunately you will no longer be able to attend. If you did RSVP and can no longer come, please make sure to let us know no later than 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course! However, if you do bring your little ones, please make sure that during the ceremony they remain seated and quiet. During the reception, there will be tables specifically for the kids. Since we have breakable items at the adult tables, we don't have the kids sitting with the adults.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, you will be directed by the wedding coordinator as to where to park.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our Ceremony is set to begin at 4:30pm. Please arrive with enough time to park and be seated before the ceremony begins (ideally 4pm). If you arrive after the ceremony has begun, you will be asked to wait until it is finished to join the celebration.

Question

Who will be catering?

Answer

The owners of the venue will be cooking our food themselves. We are so excited to be able to offer home a cooked Texas style meal. Roy (the husband) will be smoking brisket and chicken, and the sides are green beans and cheesy potatoes. Water and tea will be offered with the meal, otherwise additional drinks will be served at the bar.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

We will have an open bar. Though the drinks will be free, we ask that you bring cash to tip the bartender for a job well done.

Question

Should I plan to be outside?

Answer

Yes, our Ceremony is planned to take place outside in a non- shaded grassy area (weather permitting). After the ceremony, you will have the option to play yard games, or head inside for a fun filled night..

Question

Is your wedding themed?

Answer

We plan to have a rustic style wedding in a finished barn setting. Our wedding colors are shades of green, rust, black, white, and tan.

Question

Can I take pictures during the Ceremony?

Answer

During the ceremony we ask that you be fully present and keep phones on silent. Although we don't mind if you take photos, we have arranged for very skilled photographers to capture every moment and want to avoid phones ruining their shots, so we ask that you be mindful of the professional photographers and stay clear of their photos.

Question

What are the COVID precautions?

Answer

While we understand everyone has their own views, we ask that you stay home if you or anyone in your house are experiencing symptoms. We are not going to require masks if you are vaccinated, but we respect anyones decision to do so. If you are not vaccinated we do ask that you wear a mask.

Question

Can we make music requests?

Answer

Yes, you can either make a request in your notes when you RSVP, or you can do it at the DJ booth. If you do not make your request ahead of time, we cannot promise the DJ will have your song. Also, as long as there are children still at the reception, please make sure your requests are child friendly or have a clean version.
