We have heard it all! Please rest assured that we have done extensive research choosing a place that was safe. We would never put our entire wedding in harms way. Playa Mujeres is a gated community located a few miles north of the famous Cancun hotel zone. This exclusive area is comprised of luxurious all-inclusive hotels, a golf course, a marina, and a few private residences. The entrance into the area has a 24-hour security gate so only residents, guests of the hotels or golf course, and their employees are allowed access. There is no public transportation allowed in the area. Please contact resort concierge to help you schedule transportation off property if you choose. We won't stop you from exploring, however, we HIGHLY encourage you to remain on resort property. For safety reasons, please let someone staying at the resort know that you are leaving for the day and share your location. Always have access to a working cell phone and be back at the resort before dark. A few other safety tips: - Use your hotel safe: Lock up your passport and valuables. - Don't drink tap water, brush your teeth with bottled water, and keep mouth closed in the shower. - Wear your sunscreen. - Stay hydrated! - Please leave vapes, etc. at home (these will cause a red flag at customs).
Every person traveling will need a valid passport (including young children). If you do not have a passport, you should apply for one ASAP as the process can take months. Your passport should not expire within 6 months AFTER travel! Even though your passport may be valid, the airline can deny you boarding if your passport expires within 6 months AFTER travel. Do not risk it, renew if you are due!
Beach cocktail attire is semi-formal beach wedding attire. Think slightly fancier than what you would wear to a nice dinner on vacation. For men, no ties necessary. Dress pants (like khakis/slacks) and dressier long-sleeve button downs are perfect. Add a colorful blazer or sport coat if you think you may be chilly by the water. Appropriate footwear includes nice loafers or on-theme boat shoes. For the ladies, a semi-formal dress, like a maxi or midi, as well as a jumpsuit or dressy separates. A beach cocktail dress code gives you the flexibility to choose a vibrant color or bold print. Finish your outfit with a low heel, wedge or dressy flats or sandals.
Room reservations and all final payments are due by June 30, 2024. However, we encourage you to place a deposit for your room ASAP. Please refer to the travel page for booking instructions.

November in Cancun is "usually" *chef's kiss*! Temperatures are typically in the mid-80s during the day and 70s at night. Mostly sunny with slight chances of rain. All wedding events will be outside and near/on the beach. Please choose your outfits wisely.
We know that asking you to travel is A LOT, so your presence is gift enough.. and we mean that! If you would still like to send a gift, please visit our registry.
