It was the night of Phil’s brother, and my friend’s engagement celebration. I was invited out to celebrate the two love birds. I knew Phil would be there and was super nervous to go. Back track a bit to a few weeks prior, my friend Ali had been telling me all about Phil and how we had to meet. Little did I know at the time she was telling Phil the same thing since December. Well, I finally agreed to go. I got there and was bombarded with EVERYONE at the party talking to me about Phil and asking when I was going to go talk to him. After some liquid courage, what felt like 3 hours and a huge push from Ali, I went over to Phil. As most of you know Phil is not the most talkative... All I got out of him was a “Hi” and that was pretty much it... not the reaction or first meeting I was hoping for. Any way, the night went on and before I left Ali made sure I had Phil’s number and encouraged me to send him a text. Luckily I did! We ended up texting for hours that night. Phil should have known what he was getting himself into early on because I refused to say yes to being asked on a date via text and made him call to ask. One date later (on March 2nd), we have been inseparable ever since. Huge thank you to MatchMaker Ali Orchell for this love story!
It was early afternoon and I had just gotten home from a doctor appointment and Phil was suppose to be at a S.W.A.T. thing. He called to tell me he was on his way home to see what I was up to. Like usual, I was on the phone with one of my best friends. Phil walked in the door and I quickly finished up my conversation to talk about his day. I walked over to the kitchen to grab something and he continued to walk in the door. I walked back from the kitchen to find him getting down on one knee. Completely shocked and confused I asked if he was serious. Before I could say “yes” Benelli beat me to it and started humping him and kissing his face! It was the most perfect way to pop the question with just the three of us! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Wisconsin!
