Shelly and Luis met through mutual friends at a bar in Arlington, VA while watching the World Cup in 2014. After realizing they lived only a few blocks from each other in D.C., they started spending time together, exploring the neighborhood. Eventually, Luis asked Shelly on a date to a Mexican restaurant, Diego (RIP), where they enjoyed tableside guac (is there any other way?) and margaritas. This was the first of many amazing dining experiences they would share. Speaking of food, it was when Luis was making a homemade pizza in his roommate's Redskins apron, that Shelly realized she was falling in love. It is important to note, that Shelly and Luis' history goes back much further than 4 years. The two had actually crossed paths decades ago, something Shelly learned when she told her parents they were dating. In true Bob Casullo fashion, there is photographic evidence of their time together in childhood, which you can view on the photos tab. Shelly and Luis went on to attend rival high schools, and didn't meet again until Shelly moved back to D.C. from Orlando. After four years of dating and buying their first home, Luis and Shelly found themselves at the Annapolis boat show, shopping for their next big purchase (jk). Little did Shelly know, Luis had much bigger plans than pretending to be rich enough to purchase a yacht. As they made their way out of the boat show Luis stopped at the edge of the canal and asked Shelly to be his wife - enter Bob with camera. Although the audience included Shelly's parents (yay), a few dozen tourists (shout-out to Mildred and Betty), and some local policemen, they all faded into the background as two best friends, agreed to be best friends forever.
