Is Black Required?

We are so excited to see everyone in their formal best! To help us achieve a timeless, monochromatic aesthetic, we kindly request that all guests wear solid black. For the Ladies: A floor-length gown or a formal cocktail-length black dress. For the Gentlemen: A black suit or tuxedo, paired with a classic white dress shirt.

Are textures and details welcome?

Answer

Absolutely. Velvet, satin, silk, sequins, lace, leather accents, beading, and subtle shine are all encouraged. This is where personality and style come through.

Can I wear patterns or prints?

Answer

If present, they should be black-on-black only. Please avoid visible color, contrast prints, or metallic patterns that introduce other tones.

Are charcoal, gray, or navy acceptable ?

Answer

No. To maintain a cohesive look, we ask that attire remain true black rather than dark neutrals.

What about shoes and accessories?

Answer

Black footwear is requested. Accessories should complement the look, black or subtle metallic accents are perfect.

Is cocktail-length acceptable?

Answer

Formal attire is preferred. Floor-length gowns and tuxedos or tailored suits are strongly encouraged to match the black-tie tone of the evening.

What should I know about the venue’s flooring and my choice of shoes?

Answer

Our venue is a beautiful historic space with floors that require a little extra care. To help preserve the setting, the venue will provide complimentary heel protectors for guests wearing stilettos or thin heels. If you would prefer to skip the protectors, we recommend opting for a block or stacked heel for your comfort and convenience!
