Maid of Honor
The one, the only, sister of the bride and built in best friend. Do we really need a backstory here? They've loved each other since they were born and fought just as hard as they've loved (although way less frequently now thank goodness). They couldn't be more different, yet have the same voice, laugh, and sense of humor. Lauren's confidence, attention to detail, loving heart, and loyalty to her favorite sister will be up there keeping Shelley ready to laugh at any moment and taking care of all things MOH related.
Matron of Honor
Since senior year of high school Lauren and Shelley have committed to so many big life moments together. Room mates in the dorms at Chico State (Harvard of the West). Formerly the proud parents of two fish (RIP). Shelley was there for Lauren's engagement and maid of honor at her big day. Lauren will be providing all kinds of positives to this wedding experience for Shelley, but most importantly the fantastic vibes, an unmatched level of organization, and a deep understanding of Shelley that only 15+ years of friendship can provide.
Bridesmaid
Opposite heights, similar paths in life, Samantha and Shelley also met in the dorms at Chico State and have been on countless adventures and the best bridesmaid partners ever since. Sam has always been there for Shelley, sharing similar hills and valleys to achieve our dreams. Sam is one of those people that can make you feel encouraged and that she's in your corner no matter what stage of life you're in. Shelley will definitely need that throughout the wedding journey and is so thankful for her energy.
Bridesmaid
Jillian and Shelley met (you guessed it) in the dorms at Chico State. After joining the same sorority our Freshman year Shelley and Jillian became attached at the hip for the duration of the college experience, even sharing a wall and bathroom in a house for two years. Her support in countless ways has been a backbone for Shelley during and, even more so, post college. Her generosity, loyalty, and sense of humor is truly a gift beyond words. Shelley was also blessed to be up there next to Jillian on her big day! Shelley is a lucky lady to have Jill's support and "everything will work out I promise" attitude in this season of her life.
Bridesmaid
Brooke and Shelley met after college on their first trip to Bend back in 2016. Having almost never lived in the same place at the same time, Brooke and Shelley can miss calls, texts, go months without seeing each other, and still fall right back into place when they get together. A soul connection routed in the same values, humor, and general ability to do anything together and feel just right. She's organized, thinks of others needs before they even know them, is creative, passionate, incredibly kind, and most recently Shelley had the honor of being in her bridal party last year. Getting to experience the presence she can bring to a big day is such an honor for Shelley during her own big day!
Best Man
Logan's younger brother and lifelong gaming partner. Despite always being fiercely competitive with each other, we have always been best friends along the way. From smash bros, to backyard games and ping pong, the competitive spirit we share has only brought us closer. Although we live far away from each other than either of us would like, we seem to only grow closer as the years go by.
Groomsman
From meeting at Linfield, to moving to Bend together, and all the adventures that followed, Logan and Sam's friendship has turned from college golf teammates to best friends. Being able to hang out with each other every day at the food truck is a luxury we both do not take for granted, and working together has only made us closer friends. Always quick with a joke, and ready to help at the drop of a hat, Sam truly is a special guy. Having previously lived with Shelley and Logan, he knows both of us very well which is why he is not just a groomsman, but our officiant as well!
Groomsman
Between living down the hall from each other in the dorms and playing college golf together, Taylor and Logan became fast friends. Always up for a game, we spent countless hours playing cribbage, fifa, and of course golf, trying to get the best of each other. Our competitive spirit, respect and kindness for each other always kept us close friends even when our personality differences butted against each other. I know we both wish we could hang out every day like we used to, but when we do get to see each other it's like we haven't missed a beat.
