We’re getting married!!

It all began back in 2009, when Shelby messaged Zack via social media for a classmates phone number whom she rode the bus with. Instead of providing her with the classmates number, he gave her his number. They constantly talked for hours, getting to know each other. When finally on February 21, 2009 Zack asked Shelby out on a date. From that moment on their relationship blossomed into something more exciting. They began taking family trips together and applying to college. When college came things began to get rough for the couple; Shelby had not one but two roommates whom made the year stressful for her, as well as a job on campus that controlled her life outside of her studies. By the end of the second semester Zack had decided he needed to end things for now. In 2016, Ellen Duca had gone into the hospital. Shelby was working overnights and saw her name pop up on the board and knew she had to see her. The next morning she sent Zack a message to let him know he had to check in on her and let her know how she was feeling. Also, that same year, Shelby's Aunt Rhonda got married and was seated next to Zack at the wedding/reception. From there the couple knew it was fate. That summer, 2017, the couple got back together and had been planning their lives together. After dating (again) for 3 years, on August 22, 2020, Zack popped the question at Hocking Hills Ohio on a hike with their pup Leia. Though Shelby had been expecting it for quite some time, she was still overwhelmed with joy and excitement.
