Zach's parents invited him and Shelby to join their trip to Hawaii during Thanksgiving in 2023 and they knew they had to make it happen. They both love to travel and did not want to miss this opportunity to experience Hawaii together. During the vacation, Zach and Shelby had been taking turns not feeling well, but still making the best of their time there. This particular morning, which happened to be Thanksgiving, Luna woke up at about 2am Hawaii time and not long after that, Shelby started feeling unwell. As soon as she could, she went back to bed for additional rest. Next thing she knew, Zach woke her up to ask “do you want to go on an adventure?” and there was no way she could turn that down! She hopped up, got ready and Breeah even asked to do her make up (I see what you did there, now…). After a drive full of twists and turns, they hiked to the bottom of the Pololū Valley. Just after staring at the mountain, in awe of it looking like a photograph, Zach kneeled down and said, to Shelby, with a beautiful amethyst (Shelby’s birthstone) ring, “well are you ready to do this?” Clearly, Shelby said YES (actually, she said "are you serious?"). Ever since, the happy couple has been excited to tie the knot and continue building a life together!
