This beach is one of the cleanest in the world. No sharks, no salt, no sharp shells to gouge your feet. Crystal clear waters and a beach line that changes every spring due to ice and wave action over the winter. If you are concerned about finding Petoskey stones, go into town and get them at Grandpa Shorter's General Store! Wind and wave action covers and uncovers these fossils on the shoreline. They can be there one day and gone the next! Fun wave action on windy days.
