We met in 2017 at Ray-Pec High School's homecoming. We were the only people in the group that did not have dates, and we had never met before. We were told that we had to stand next to one another for pictures. Once the dance came to an end we began talking as we waited for the rest of the group in the car. We made each other laugh and ended up having a really good time. A few weeks later, Joshua lied to his parents and said he was going to go hang out with a friend when he was really coming to see me. We spent some time together over a few weeks then Joshua ghosted me because he thought I was "weird". Flash forward to freshman year of college, there was a Missouri Western vs Northwest football game. We were both in attendance but sat in different sections. Joshua noticed that I was at the game and contacted me via Snapchat (very romantic). I, however, was in a relationship at the time so I declined his advances. The following year on Halloween night of 2020, I may have had a bit to drink and acquired some liquid courage... so I contacted Joshua via Snapchat (once again, very romantic). We talked throughout the night and continued into the morning. A week later, Joshua insisted that we go on a date. At that time, one of my roommates was getting over Covid-19 and we still had two days left of quarantine. Like the smart man Joshua is, he decided that he would lie and tell me that he had recently gotten over Covid-19 so he could come to see me. The rest is written in the history books. We dated from November 21, 2020, to November 19, 2022, when Joshua asked me to be his wife. Needless to say, this was one of the only good decisions that have ever come from Vodka.
