We're getting married!!

We met working together at an Italian restaurant in Colorado. Shelby was a waitress, while Evan was a line cook. They flirted over the counter, and Evan always made Shelby french fries or a small pepperoni pizza to take home at the end of the night. One thing led to another, and we quickly fell in love.

We got engaged on a very lazy and cozy night in November of 2022. Shelby was VERY subtle about dropping hints that she was ready for the big question (if sending Pintrest links to engagement rings is considered subtle..). Eventually, Evan picked out the perfect ring. It arrived in the mail and Evan opened the box and popped the question right there. With Teddy running around us with excitement and loud music playing in the background, it was quick snapshot of the life we have built together. It was perfect!

We lived apart for a year after Teddy was born. Finally, when it was time to move in together, Evan flew out to the small town of Wayne, Maine where Shelby and Teddy were living. We loaded up Shelby's small blue 4 door sedan, hitched on a full trailer, and the two of us set off on a 41 hour drive to Idaho. We shared so many laughs and smiles on the trip! When we finally arrived in Idaho, we unloaded Shelby's car and the trailer, went to sleep, and then woke up bright and early the next day to fly BACK to Maine. We retrieved Teddy and Shelby's two cats, then flew back to Idaho the next day. It was a very stressful week, but it was worth it to be together as a family at last!

After spending time apart while Evan was living in Idaho, Evan flew back down to Colorado to be with Shelby when Teddy was born. Evan, Shelby, and Shelby's mom (Teresa) spent a lot of quality time together while waiting for Teddy's arrival. However, Teddy's due date came and went with no baby. Finally, Shelby went in to see her doctor to schedule an induction for Teddy - just to find out she was already in labor and needed to get to the hospital immediately. So, of course, we went to Taco Bell and pigged out before moseying our way over to the hospital to check in. 8 hours later.... Teddy was finally here!
