Shelby's all time favorite hike. Incredible Views from Newfound Gap all the way to the Bunion. Relatively flat, and an excellent showcase of the high-elevation biomes found only in the Smokies.
Carter's all time favorite hike, particularly in June when the wild Azalea's bloom on the summit. (The wedding may be a tad too early, but you should be able to Google if they're blooming) Wonderful views and wildflowers.
A great place to go if you're looking to see the Smokies without breaking a sweat! Cade's Cove is located less than a half hour from the venue, and is one of the most popular places in the park to see wildlife, mountain views, and history. Completing the one-way loop can take up to 2 hours on busy days, but provides an opportunity to see black bears, turkey, horses, and historical sites. Make sure to stop and enjoy the different things it has to offer. The earlier you arrive, the better your experience will be!
The easiest hike on the list, and also the closest to the venue! It should only take about 10-15 minutes to get to the trailhead at the Tremont visitors center. Head up the hill, and follow the signs to this beautiful waterfall. Be sure to stop by the gift shop for delicious chocolate afterward!
A classic Smokies trail located just minutes from the venue. This trail features lush rhododendron, waterfalls, and is a great all-around option for those who want to get out, but don't a full day to hike.
Located in the back of Cade's Cove, this beautiful hike showcases the dense, low-elevation forests of the Smokies, and excellent views of Abrams Creek. The hike finishes at a waterfall and is best enjoyed early in the morning to avoid crowds.
Beautiful views of the Little River, wildlife, and wildflowers. Very flat, and great for a simple walk in the woods. Be sure to check out Daisy Town and the history of Elkmont just a short walk from the trailhead. A great, all around hike for families.
80 foot waterfall with great views along the trail. Be sure to arrive early, as the small parking lot can fill up before 8am on weekends.
All the routes up to Mt. LeConte are fantastic, but this is Carter's favorite of the 6. It features some of the best views available, interesting flora, geological wonders, wild blackberries (that you are allowed to eat!) and usually isn't very busy compared to the others. Be sure to hike to the Jump Off on the way!
Excellent views, not too busy. Very close to the Venue.
One of the most popular hikes in the Smokies due to the breathtaking views and amazing geological features. This hike has a rock tunnel, massive bluffs, and is the most direct way to visit LeConte Lodge. Be sure to arrive VERY early (by 7am) to ensure parking is available.
