Shuttle

Shuttles to Welcome Party and Wedding Ceremony

We will have shuttles for the welcome party as well as wedding ceremony. Shuttle pickups will be at one of three locations: The Sandcastle, corner of Amaranth and Greenwinged Teal, and The Sanctuary. Shuttle pickups are on the Schedule and Shuttles tab.

Flight

Charleston International Airport

We recommend guests fly into Charleston Airport and then it is a 45 minute drive to Kiawah Island. Ubers and Lyfts are available from Charleston airport to Kiawah Island, but otherwise you can not request them while on the island. We recommend each household rent a car at Charleston airport for your stay.

Rental Car

Charleston International Airport Car Rental

The rental car desks are right next to the baggage claim at Charleston airport. They have all of the major car rental companies. Just to reiterate, Ubers and Lyfts are not available on the island so we recommend one rental car per household for the weekend or coordinating with others.

Hotel

The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Beautiful, historic hotel on the island (and the only hotel). The hotel can be a bit pricy, but is on the ocean, has several restaurants, shops, and a pool. They also offer free shuttle services around the island for guests during the day. The Sanctuary hotel will be one of the shuttle pickup and drop off locations for both the Welcome Party and the Wedding.

House Or Rental

Rental Homes/Condos

Many of our guests will choose to just rent a home or villa. So that we can coordinate shuttle pickups and dropoffs, we are asking guests to stay in one of three areas around the island: 1) Near the Sanctuary Hotel (this includes staying at the Sanctuary or Windswept Condos) 2) Walking Distance from Amaranth Road (off Eugenia Avenue) 3) Near Seascape Villas in West Beach Recommended Home Rental Sites: Akers Ellis (10% off discount with code: Shelby), VRBO, Kiawah Island Home Rentals, and Sweetgrass Vacation Rentals. Sammys Transportation - Car Service

If you are not renting a car, you are welcome to text Jackie and she can drive you to the airport on Sunday. Her number is 843-814-9660. She is the best! Be sure to message her ahead of time.
