About Charleston

We’re so excited for you to explore Charleston! This charming Southern city is full of history, incredible food, and plenty of hidden gems. To help you make the most of your visit, we’ve put together some recommendations. The airport is about 25 minutes from downtown Charleston. You won’t need a car since the city is very walkable, but if you do choose to rent one, keep in mind that parking can be limited and often requires a fee. The most budget-friendly options are parking garages, and some hotels may offer complimentary parking—be sure to check! Charleston is a foodie’s paradise, offering everything from classic Southern dishes to fresh seafood and international flavors. We’ll be sharing some of our favorite spots, but we highly recommend making reservations in advance, as many popular restaurants fill up quickly and have little to no walk-in availability. Get ready to experience the best of Charleston—we can’t wait for you to fall in love with this city just like we have!
