Jaggo is one of the many pre-wedding events you'll experience at a Punjabi wedding! It translates to "Wake Up"! This event kicks off wedding festivities and gets everyone excited for the impending nupitals. This event is often vibrant and colorful. We recommend that you also dress in bright and bold colors to match the vibe! Snacks and dinner will be provided at this event.

Milni and Anand Karaj

10:00 am - 1:00 pm

This event will start off with Jaswant's family welcoming Manraj's family. They will then engage in the "Milni" tradition where Manraj's respective relatives will meet their counterparts on Jaswant's side. Next, Manraj and Jaswant will take part in their Anand Karaj which is the official Sikh wedding ceremony. They will walk around Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Sikh holy book four times signifying their commitment to one another and a relationship centered around God. During the Anand Karaj, you will be sitting on the ground cross legged, so it would be recommended that women wear a jumpsuit or maxi dress for comfort if they are not wearing Indian attire. Suit and tie is recommended for men. Lunch will be served after the Anand Karaj at Duval Ballroom next door.
