Traveling to Yakima, WA

If you are flying in from outside WA we recommend flying into Seattle and doing the 2 hour drive. The route will take you through the Snoqualmie Mountain Pass with many beautiful nature views. Before driving into Yakima you can also take a small detour and drive through the Yakima River Canyon. This is one of Sheilas' favorite things about the valley. The Seattle airport has shuttle buses($40) that will drive you to Yakima or you can check out a car rental business.

Si vuela desde fuera de WA, le recomendamos volar a Seattle y hacer el viaje de 2 horas. La ruta lo llevará a través del paso de montaña de Snoqualmie con hermosas vistas de la naturaleza. Antes de llegar a Yakima, también puedes tomar un pequeño desvío y atravesar el cañón del río Yakima. Esta es una de las cosas favoritas de Sheilas sobre el valle. El aeropuerto de Seattle cuenta con autobuses lanzadera ($40) que lo llevarán a Yakima o puede visitar una empresa de alquiler de autos.

Yakima has a small airport, you will have to fly into Sea-tac first and then fly into Yakima. A small 30-40 min flight.

The closest airport to fly into from California/Mexico is Sea-Tac International Airport. There is an municipal airport in Yakima you can fly into or it’s a 2 hr drive from Seattle to Yakima.
