United States Mint

The United States Mint offers free tours to the public Monday - Friday on the hour from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Mint is closed weekends and all Federal Holidays. Reservations are required and can be made on the www.usmint.gov site. Tours are limited to 50 visitors and fill up fast. Group reservations must be made two weeks in advance by calling 303-405-4759 and are subject to availability. Walk-up tour reservations are available at the Mint Tour Reservation Booth on Cherokee St. The booth is open M-F from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for reservations and stand-by tickets. Stand-by tockets are not a guarentee of admittance to the tour and ticket holders will be admitted on a space-available-basis. With the busy Spring/Summer season walk up reservations may not be available and stand-by tickets will be issued until they run out for the day

It is, perhaps, the most unique and challenging trail in the country, attracting runners, Olympic athletes, and cyclists from around the world. The trail is also used by military personnel and even soccer moms. More than anything, the Manitou Incline is famous for dishing out a tough workout.
