I participated with my friend Alix in the 7K Running of the Green. This is a St. Patrick's Day themed Colorado Charity Run in Downtown Denver. I posted a cute photo of Alix and I prior to running the race and my friend from college left a comment on my photo. This friend does have a name. Richie Lash! He said he saw me running and I knew he was joking as his comment stated that we ran by Snooze. We did not run by snooze. :) He then asked me to meet up with him at the ViewHouse since it had been two years since we had seen one another. My friend Alix and I decided to go meet up with Richie and Danny was there with him. I obviously asked who he was! I turned to Alix and let her know that I thought Danny was a good looking guy! Apparently the feeling was mutual. Alix, Richie, Danny and I went to Margs to grab some food and stopped by Richie's apartment downtown. Danny and I actually lived in this apartment complex a year later! Alix eventually went home and Richie, Danny and I decided to go play golf at Harvard Gulch. Don't play golf with them. They will crush you! We then decided to skip work the next day and go up to Richie's place in the mountains. We of course all shared some wine and eventually went to bed. The next day Danny and Richie skied in onesies from the 70's while I was on my snowboard in normal clothing. Lets just say ....we got some looks! I drove us back to Denver and dropped the boys off. I texted Richie right after asking him to give Danny my number. He told me Danny had already asked. The rest is history! We never stopped hanging out and the best is yet to come!

Danny proposed on Mother's Day at Washington Park! FYI this is our favorite place to hang out together in Denver and it is so beautiful. Picture below! This was the day of the proposal! I had plans with Chanel for that afternoon, but Danny made it very clear that I was canceling those plans to go on the picnic. Now we know why! Danny and I packed a picnic lunch and drove to the park. We were enjoying the beautiful weather and relaxing. I got up to throw something away and walked back towards our blanket. Danny got one one knee and asked me to marry him. The ring was so beautiful and I thought he was messing with me as he likes to do that :). I was extremely surprised and caught off guard, but of course said, "YES!". We went back to the park later that night, opened a bottle of champagne and toasted to our engagement. We are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you!
